Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomA very minor comment - there were no clothes hangers in our Apartment - which was the Penthouse. And also there was a very high bed in the ‘loft room’ and the only way to get up to it was on a Lowe stool - a bed ladder is required.
The apartments are perfectly in the historic part of Girona very close to the Cathedral. They are in a converted building, with beautiful exposed brickwork in parts and yet are super modern & beautifully clean.

CanadaOur family really enjoyed Girona and a lot of it was due to the organized and friendly team at La Comuna. The apartment is tastefully appointed and in a superb location, steps away from everything you'll want to see. The breakfast spot downstairs had some of the best morning fare we've enjoyed so far - espresso on point, good selection of breakfast, friendly, bi-lingual staff. Thanks for a great stay!!

IrelandThere were a few hiccups with housekeeping, perhaps staffing issues over the Christmas/New Year holidays?
The apartment was spacious and in a great location. Check-in was easy and the paid parking they recommended was nearby (definitely book it online for a significant savings). There was great water pressure and plenty of hot water). The cafe downstairs was a highlight - super friendly staff, fantastic coffee, and really good breakfast (beautiful presentation and good value!).

NetherlandsAlthough entirely refurbished, it is and remains an old and therefore (very) noisy building. Sounds (television, conversations, walking, moving around furniture) from next door and upstairs neighbors clearly audible. Parking in Girona is an issue and turned out to be very expensive in our case (to be clear: not arranged by / through Bon Dia, but a heads up / instructions what to do and what not to do would have been helpful). Communication with Bon Dia is standardized and exclusively online, we did not see anyone throughout our entire stay. Efficient, but also rather impersonal.
Very nicely decorated and well equipped, spotless apartment. Really superb location in the old town.

FranceShame I did not meet anyone from the staff as everything is remotely monitored... It would be good to see someone, especially when you need special information. For instance, there is no Uber or taxi around if you need a last minute one...
Beautiful and quiet place in the old town of Girona. Ideally located to walk around Girona. All amenities in the flat (even a washing machine!). Fantastic cafe and brunch at la Comuna cafe downstairs and possibility to take a yoga class also downstairs in the beautiful studio next to the cafe.

We stay only one night in the apartment but everything was perfect, from amazing smell when you come into the building, to the immaculate clean apartment and well decorated, it’s very stylish but keeping the character of the building with the expose rock wall. Close to everything by foot, even it’s in the city centre it was quiet at the same time, we were on first floor and we didn’t feel noisy at all even if it was close to the street. We didn’t cook but kitchen is equipped with everything you need, there were also coffee capsules and one for the washing machine what I think is very useful. There is a free parking 5 min from the apartment. Communication was easy and clear. We had breakfast at their cafe downstair a la carte and it was delicious, so highly recommended to eat there, good coffee. Overall great experience, nothing to dislike, we definitely come back on our next visit to Girona

CanadaIt was not easy getting into the building. The door required a mighty push to open which I did not realize until getting a tutorial from a fellow resident! I also think the key pad was a bit temperamental.
It seemed recently renovated and very comfortable. The manager greeted us soon after we arrived and was very friendly.

United KingdomThe only thing we missed was washing up liquid!
Having visited Girona 4 times in the last 3 years this location was the best I'd stayed at. Just on the edge of the old town, so everything you need is within a short walk. But also very quiet in the evening. We had the top floor penthouse, which had three large double bedrooms, two with en-suites and a further separate shower room. Along with a spacious living-dining area, meant we didn't want to come home! The ground floor houses a great cafe, which has a very chilled vibe and offers the usual (but excellent) brunch-style dishes.
