Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe comfort of both the chairs (especially those in the kitchen and outside) and beds could be better. It wasn't a big deal, but good quality seats and mattresses would make a big difference. The lights were bright and white. As far as we are concerned, they could have been warmer in color or otherwise dimmable.
La Malvasia is somewhat quiet and remote from the tourist hotspots, but at the same time it is centrally located on the island. It is accessible via good roads and you are quickly on the highway for your trip. We were welcomed with a tasty omelette on the first day which was very nice. We received tips and therefore had a nice meal at the 70s bar. The house is spacious and well equipped in terms of appliances and electronics. The kids had a lot of fun in the pool which we mostly had to ourselves. They also enjoyed playing hide and seek around the house. In short, a good and nice stay, Tenerife is highly recommended.

United KingdomA good pizzeria in the local village and another restaurant open during some week days. A small supermarket. Ask the owner about larger supermarkets and other local and good restaurants in advance.
Beautiful location in the hills found within tropical gardens and away from the crowds.

United KingdomOnly thing I would say is that although the kitchen is well fitted and fairly spacious it is in a back room with no views at all and it is very plain looking. Since we love cooking and so cooked and ate there every evening, as when the sun sets it was too cold to eat out, it didn't have the same feel as the rest of the apartment. It is also too white and too bright in terms of lighting. Also the light over the cooker did not work and so despite the brightness in the room it was a bit difficult to see inside the pots and pans when using them.
Fantastic location in former Bodega. Great views across to classic old Canary village of Arico Viejo and of course to the sea. Nicely warmed pool to make it just a little warmer than the sea, which we swam in regularly down at El Poris (just 10 mins away). Very spacious (much more than you think from online), great sized bedrooms and comfortable beds all with their own bathroom. Our apartment was called Lagar. Lots of outside space for sitting, lounging in the sun and eating. Sun rises and hits the terrace very quickly in the morning that we had breakfast outside even in early February. WIFI is excellent

SwedenWe can't think of anything we didn't like.
First of all I must say this is a marvellous place. Located near a small village, you need to pass two remote controlled gates to get to the premises that has old vineyards around it. We had a rental car so this was a perfect place for us to start our different "expeditions" of the island. The pictures do not show how big and beautiful this place is in reality. The house, containing 3 lovely villas are built using thick walls with traditional canary rocks. This makes the villas very comfy, quiet and cool, even during hot days. Inside: The rooms are large, much larger than I expected, and with very high ceilings, giving you so much air and space. Large living room with big modern TV was appreciated by the kids. In the particular villa we lived, there was a big panorama window towards the valley and hills, we used this a lot to eat breakfast and just to sit and relax. Bathrooms with showers in every room was indeed great. Kitchen contains everything we needed. We cooked a lot of food ourselves. Outside: In front of the house a level down there was a very nice pool, sun beds and an "open house" (with sofa, tables and chairs) under a roof, which was perfect to eat our lunch in or just for avoiding the sun. It even had a big bluetooth speaker, our girls put on some soft music while relaxing on sun beds and swimming in the pool. In the back of the house there was an area with a table and chairs where we ate dinner while watching the sun setting. In the front there were tables and chairs and sofas where we ate our breakfast in the early morning sun. Lovely! We were two adults with our kids 13, 17 and 19 years old visiting this place. Great parking. There were three parkings, one for each villa. Each parking can fit two cars, so six cars in total. Owner: The owner Christina was very kind and nice to have a conversation with. She made us feel very welcome and gave good service with quick responses.

GermanyWe had an unforgettable vacation at this beautiful place. The garden and the pools are as stunning as are the views into the surroundings. Our charming apartment was the former store of this renovated winery and well equipped and nicely decorated with much attention to detail. We loved every minute here and are planning to return in the coming years.

United KingdomNothing- it was simply perfect.
The whole place was amazing , our host Christina was so helpful and the location of the property was perfect to visit different parts of the island. The house is absolutely beautiful, spacious and extremely well equipped. You'll find everything that you need here from a clean, heated pool to four types of coffee makers! there are even laundry detergents and all the spices available for use by the guests. The house is located on a hill, with a breathtaking view of the ocean and forested hills behind free from towering hotels or bustling city life... a true escape to the country. The main highway is nearby and very easily accessed although you wouldn't notice any road noise or traffic. The most amazing aspect of this place was our host Christina, she helped us find the best places to eat in the area and suggested some lovely places to visit. She was ready to answer any questions through whatsaap at any time of day! What an amazing Lady we all appreciated her help and attention to detail, along with the kindest nature. We all agreed that we would be back next year if not before and therefore can't recommend this property highly enough . A true home from home.

United KingdomThe ants 😂 but not much can be done about that
Myself and 3 friends had a lovely stay at La Malvasia, the villa itself was huge, comfortable, spotless and had its own private garden. The kitchen is very sociable and we ate at home most nights. The pool area is perfect and although shared rarely had anyone else in it. You can go for a short walk into the village which has a supermarket, great coffee and a lovely pizza restaurant. If you want to see Tenerife then getting a hire car is recommended as it’s not too far to get to most places. 👍🏼 we hope to be back!

Saudi Arabia(all perfectly fine)
Excellent location away from the crowds in the hills of southern Tenerife. The property is located in the outskirts of the Arico Viejo village, 300 m from the closest neighbouring houses. The site is exceptionally scenic and covers an extensive garden with local trees and plants. It sits on the edge of a barranco (dry valley) with beautiful mountain and sea views. A 10 min drive leads to the main highway TFS-1 placing e.g. Santa Cruz, Los Gigantos, Pico del Teide and the beaches of southern Tenerife within easy reach. The house featured three separate bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, a spacious living room (incl. a fire place), and a large kitchen with high-quality equipment (dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge, oven etc.). The kitchen opens to a terrace with a large dining table, a separate garden and a barbecue site. A nice open swimming pool is located in the garden. The whole site is very clean and very well maintained. The owner and her staff have been exceptionally kind and helpful. We visited with six family members and stayed for 17 days. Everybody loved La Malvasia.
