I would suggest that given the property has the facility that more use be made of the bar area as we both would have loved a nice coffee on arrival.. It is a short walk to town to visit some very good restaurants,

We arrived at the property at 6.30 p.m. The lady at reception was very helpful. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Our check in was very efficient. The property was very quiet and we met the owner on the day of our departure and he was very friendly and helpful.

The pension was on the main street on the way into town which was welcomed after a long walk from Portomarin. The rooms are quiet and extremely clean. The host was very friendly in the morning and we signed his guest book. Toast and a cappuccino for two was 7 EUR.

First, the people. A very special mention to Mr Luis, who look after us the pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago. Gave us a warm welcome after an arduous and wet day, and very generous of his time. He looked after us by drying our ponchos and cleaned and dried our shoes. I haven’t met anyone with such generosity and compassion. He even drove us to the the town centre. This man shows the Camino Spirit of care and compassion.

When you’ve walked from Palas de Rei the location of this place is perfect as it’s on the way into the town. A lovely welcome from Gema, thank you. Mr Luis is a gentleman. He cleaned my shoes for me when I arrived and gave me newspaper to stuff into them to help dry them. He speaks no English but manages to communicate anyway. The room was perfect; warm and dry with a hot shower. We had evening meal in the Pensión next door, where we were also able to dry our clothes for €3.

Remote control for AC is not in the room. You have to ask for it. Shower cold water control was broken. Had to wait for hot water to cool down before washing off the soap.🤦🏼‍♂️

Great place. Very clean. 10/10. We arrived after a long rainy day on the Camino and we were greeted by a very welcoming receptionist. The owner was a character, very helpful and friendly. There is a restaurant next door with a laundry. Very practical when doing the Camino and not having many outfits in your bag.

La Puerta de Arzúa was the best place I stayed during the "Camino de Santiago". I have great memories from my stay over there. The accommodations are great and very well located, just a few minutes walk from the main city centre. The views are superb, so quiet, so good. I got everything I needed to keep going with my walk to Santiago. A HUGE thank you (muchas gracias) to Juan, with whom I had incredible conversations and learnt a lot, and I am very proud to have met him.

The place was clean and easy to locate. It was along the camino path. The owner, Luis , is such a nice guy, very accommodating, and went out of his way to help us and make our stay comfortable, especially after a long walk for the Compostela. He even welcomed us to his home, which is just beside the pension. Highly recommended.

The property is conveniently located on the camino. The rooms are comfortable and clean, perfect for a good rest. There is great heating and cooling. The property is very new and the bathrooms have nice showers. Moreover, the owner goes out of his way to make sure his guests are comfortable and have everything they need for their stay and their journeys. He knows the region well and his advice and recommendations made our experience unforgettable. It was a blessed stop on our pilgrimage!

The pension is very clean and comfortable. It is well situated being right on the route of the Camino and just under 1km walk into the centre of Arzúa. The owner is a super chap. He is very kind and hospitable and goes out of his way to help.
