Pretty much everything was perfect, the only negative thing is that there are only two bathrooms/showers. In practice this was not really an issue but I guess if the hostel was very full you might have to wait more often. It only happened to me a couple of times and it was not a problem.

The hostel is in a beautiful location but it is also quite remote, I would not recommend staying here without a car or bike. You should also be a confident driver because some of the local roads are interesting! The staff were super lovely, many were on workaway placements so the crew is always changing but I feel I was very lucky to meet so many genuinely kind and interesting people during my stay. A lot of the guests did not stay as long as me (I ended up staying three weeks), so it really made the place feel more like home to have such friendly people working there. The garden has plenty of space for yoga, two hammocks and a pool, beautiful trees and plants. Being pretty far north you are close to Anaga and get to experience amazing hiking and beaches. The local area is mostly plantations and some nice small beaches and charcos. It's not the place to go if you are looking for clubbing, stay in the south.

I don't appreciate being asked to leave a 10 points review, or else communicate problems directly with them. Guests should be honest for other guests to know what they're going for.

Fairly clean, good facilities, quiet hostel for a decent night sleep in a nice area with lots of activities to do nearby or things to see.

The place is amazing to stay at , the garden , pool and the rooms are truly amazing and super clean . Felt like an oasis in otherwise touristy Tenerife … I’m coming back :) 11/10 for that place !

Great Place to spend a few days and enjoy tranquility. Lagarto hostel offers all what you would expect - well equipped kitchen, big bathrooms, nice bedrooms - and also an amazing garden with pool. Hope to come back soon!

Best hostel I've stayed in Tenerife. Plenty of space in the garden with the pool, chill out area with sofas, chairs,tv and music where you can have delicious food prepared by the staff and movie nights. 10 minutes by foot from Charco Azul, where we watched so many sunsets while bathing in the natural pools.

The hostel was hard to get to, it would have been better to have had my own transport as it's also a long walk to the bus stop for day trips. The good thing is they are aware of this at the hostel and offer lifts to the bus stop. There is a small grocery in town who have very good fruit and veggies.

I liked the hostel straighaway, there was a good vibe, great staff.

It was too hot and smelled bad in the room when I came in the evening, but someone was sleeping, so opening the window was not an option, since behind the window people were talking. Also, only 2 bathrooms for the whole house is not enough.

Nice garden with swimming pool, nice big house to hang out and forget about everything. Place in a remote location. Close to the sea. I really liked the nature in the garden.

The hostel met my expectations. After the first step, I knew this was a great place. The location is good. It is best to arrive by scooter or car. Anaga is wonderful. Lots of places to explore. Very nice and smiling volunteers. Thank you for the nice time.

The Lagarto hostel is a very special place to stay- amazing vibes and really in the middle of nowhere. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the beds are very comfortable and clean.

The location is a bit out of the way. If you don’t have a car, be prepared to do a lot of walking and spend a lot of time in buses. It’s doable though and totally worth it!

One of the best hostels in Tenerife. Everyone there is so friendly, staff, volunteers and guests. Very relaxed and social environment. The chill out area is beautiful and comfortable. The garden is amazing. Social events are organized throughout the week, I was lucky to be there during paella night! I had an amazing stay at Lagarto and met so many lovely people! I wish I could have stayed longer
