The hotel description fit all my criteria. It was easy to find, had on-site parking, a restaurant and was a very short walk to the centre of this small popular tourist town. The entrance hall, outside front terrace and lounge areas are old-fashioned stylish, as was my large bedroom which overlooked the rear wooded area. The restaurant looked elegant and, according to the very helpful lady on reception (the only member of staff I saw at any time during my overnight stay) would be open for a set-price 3-course dinner at “about 8.30”. The menu wasn’t available when I checked in and there was nobody around in or near the dining room at 8.30 so I’ve no idea whether it did open and, if it did, what was on offer. I walked up to la Plaza Mayor and had a lovely meal in one of the restaurants there. Nice comfortable hotel despite the dinner situation.

This is countryside location up in the hills within the beautiful natural park.. The guesthouse location was excellent right in the heart of this beautiful medieval town a few minutes walk to the cafes and restaurants very traditional with local produce to buy and eat. The rooms are of an older style not updated but immaculate and slept very well was a very cosy night! Parking outside the front door and a lift to the upper floors. Pet friendly!

We were disappointed that the hotel restaurant was closed. I hope this is not a permanent casualty of these covid times. However, there are restaurants close by.

I have stayed in this hotel before, so I know what to expect. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The hotel is in a perfect position for visiting La Alberca, a charming old town. It has a pleasant veranda for sitting out.

Our stay was to short!

Lovely spacious room with good bathroom. Free outdoor parking on site. Buffet breakfast nice and inexpensive. Staff positively helpful and kind hearted. Lovely balcony to relax. Lift to roo.ms Vdry positive experience Central to many nature walks and good food and shopping. A1😊

It was all good for me.

The location was the best part. The city is very small and from the hotel it was easy to get everywhere in 5-10 min. The room was very so clean and cosy that it was good to take a rest after day activity. It might be small for someone but my partner and me didn't have any complain about it. Also, we brought our dog and the staff were very friendly with my dog and us.

The bedroom was large and comfortable but very 'tired-looking''. It's bathroom had THE smallest-ever curtained shower cubicle - impossible to turn oneself round. Extractor fan in bathroom not working. Breakfast, at extra cost, taken on first morning of our three-day stay was utterly appalling! In the land of wondrous Iberico meats and cheeses we were faced with four sandwich-sized squares of tasteless processed ham and processed cheese; half-covered with clingfilm. Fresh fruit on offer was bruised and of poor quality. No bread was available....had to wait five minutes for someone to appear with three slices. The stewed coffee was extraordinarily awful....would not use it to clean horse brasses. On day two and three we had an excellent breakfast at a nearby cafe. Based on this experience we dare not eat supper in the hotel's restaurant.....which would, we suspect, have been overcrowded. The hotel seems to attract pensioners' coach parties....and two large groups arrived and took over the hotel on the weekend we stayed. Sadly, not a recommended destination.

Great location on the edge of a beautiful village in a wonderful rural part of Spain. The hotel is rustic in style but comfortable and charming, and the staff very welcoming and helpful. The food was very good, including delicious Iberico ham, and there was no problem providing the gluten-free bread we needed. The surrounding area is great for scenery, walking and wildlife-watching.
