Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

United KingdomWe stayed for one night only and had a very early start at the nearby airport, so breakfast was not an option. Check-in time was 7pm onwards, so dinner was not an option either. However, we were aware of these factors beforehand so they were not an issue. The proprietor, Elena, was very welcoming and, very generously, offered 4 guests free drinks and arranged our transport to the airport.

Close to Airport and as flight delayed glad I booked it. Simple check in, easy walk into Santiago to get train to start your Camino. Nice breakfast in morning and lots of pilgrims starting or ending their journey so all good. Yeah probably book it again next year👍

This place is like staying with family. Elena & Pedro are not just in keepers they make every attempt to make your stay a memorable one, and it truly was!!! I walked the French Camino and have stayed in dozens of places, but as they say, save the best for last!! Place was spotless! Room had so much attention to detail, right down to the embroidered towels and sheets. The linens were soft and didn’t smell like bleach, the room was like your mom got it ready for you visit. Bed was not your typical European bed, it was so comfy, not concrete and no springs sticking in your hips. They have a little cafe down stairs and the food was also great, that is open to 2pm that I had an huge meal at and I bought a sandwich for later that afternoon since the town’s 2 cafes were closed. They were good at letting me know prior, but this wasn’t an issue for me at all. Atmosphere of this tiny town was just what I needed after spending 2 days in the city. If you are flying out of the Santiago airport (15 min walk), the last 12k inn is a must stop. 10⭐️ out of 5 ⭐️ for me.

United StatesOne-night stay before an early morning flight. Last 12K is a lovely guesthouse where the comfort and convenience for guests is exceeded only by the kindness of the hotel's owners. Every small detail – superior bed linens and towels, individual (and cold!) bottles of water, fast internet, taxi reservations–are offered at this exceptional accommodation. This was the best night's stay we had in our two weeks abroad. There is an entirely acceptable restaurant a half-mile from the guesthouse, too.
