A molding was coming down from the ceiling, easy to repair but maybe the staff has not seen it yet. It is a bit disappointing that the construction materials used for the renovation do not take into account acoustics, you can listen to everything happening in the building.

Beds are firm but comfortable, heating was superb, bathroom was newly renovated and super clean with more than expected supplies, hot water was fast and abundant, closet was spacious, decoration was funny American stile.

I didn't like that the bathroom was smelly after I used it once. No matter how many times I flushed it, it kept smelling. So I had to close the door while I was sleeping. But when I used it it was almost unbearable.

I liked the location it was great. The beds were confy. I was treated very well. I was also given a bottle of water for free that was a great small detail. I also liked the fact that you could see the cathedral from the window of the room

Unfortunately, the room was hot at night - it had been a warm day in late June. Even with the window open (on to an internal light well) there was very little air movement -air con would have been nice, but is unrealistic at the bargain price.

Very welcoming reception and pleasant staff (who made a big fuss of our dog - always a good sign!). Our room was comfortable and spacious. Parking nearby to unload luggage from the car was easy. Longer-term parking (just outside the city wall) was cheap (€0.90 for 24 hours) and plentiful. Avila is a beautiful and compact city to explore.

I was expecting more of a hostel vibe with common areas

Great location. Bigger room than expected but mattress was old. I thought there will be some kind of patio or common areas but the patio belongs only to a specific room. It is a decent hotel for the price.

Hotel is not accessible by car. Half a block walk into the square. I did find parking in the city lot 2 blocks away. It was easy and no problem as I didn't have luggage.

One of the beds was sagging completely and very uncomfortable. There was some mold on the ceiling. The walls are absolutely paper thin and you can hear everything that goes on in the next bedroom - we had some very inconsiderate neighbours - and on the street.

The location is perfect. Room size is ok, the bathroom was alright too. Decoration is nice.

My room was quite hot, even with a fan, compared to the air in the hall outside my door. It was a hot week and my room was hotter than the ambient air in other places in the hotel.
