How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Coffee machine capsules not available in the supermarkets around. You pay 300 EUR safety deposit but when it is being released back, you are charged for the bank taxes of the transfer back. Not an issue at all but in principle it shouldn't be. It was weird that I was asked to avoid leaving any feedback rating if it was below the 10... I am sorry, all fine, but an overall 9 is fair here, according to me.
Very clean, spacey and nicely organized with recommended location. Comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, spotless clean bathrooms which is important and should be mentioned... We were allowed to leave the luggage after the check out in the company office. Nice property staff, strongly professional and extremely responsive.

Very nice apartment finished to a high standard and very clean. Great location in a quiet area but close to Malaga centre (5 minute walk) and the port (10 minute walk).

The shower room is extremely small and if you are a big person you may have difficulty getting in and out of it. There is another bathroom that has a shower over the bath. We asked for more towels as there isn’t really anywhere to dry towels if the weather isn’t hot.initially we were told that extra towels are charged at 5 euros however another message was sent to say there wouldn’t be a charge, extra towels were brought to the apartment the following day.
Ideally situated within walking distances of the city and harbour. Stylish 3 bed apartment that is well equipped. Comfortable bed. Washing machine dishwasher with detergents provided.Situated on the 4th floor of a building of mixed business and residential. 2 Lifts to use. Lots of local bars and restaurants nearby.

Nothing special
Spacious, clean and comfortable apartment situated in a nice area. The street was quiet and allowed us to get a good sleep, however many cosy bars and restos as well as a supermarket and a public parking were around the corner. The historical centre is in walking distance.

very little to dislike. you have to keep on top of the air conditioning, but didn’t cause us a problem at all
we loved the location of this property. very close to the centre but just far enough to escape the big crowds. there are some very cute local wine bars and cafes just down the street. walkable to both the city centre and the beach which was ideal.

the size and cleanliness, also that it had two bathrooms which can be a problem in Malaga when you have more than 3 people sharing. it’s very well equipped with everything that you need during your stay. The location was convenient for transport and sightseeing, five minute walk from the train station and all the tourist attractions, also in a quiet location. the commutation with customer service was excellent also during our stay.

The building in which the apartment is located is not very attractive but don't let that put you off as the apartment itself is really beautiful.
The apartment was beautiful and it was spotlessly clean. There were two lovely bathrooms and the three bedrooms were spacious and well-appointed. There was a gorgeous living room where we could chill out. The kitchen had everything we needed and, like the rest of the property, was sparkling clean. The location is really good and there are several small bars in the immediate vicinity. The city centre is very close by.

The apartment is very comfortable and well located in Soho district. It's also very clean with good equipment. The owners are very kind and did everything to help us and to answer to all of our questions. Thank you for this wonderful week in Malaga!

Beautiful apartment in a fantastic spot. Booked very last minute (on the day!) as we were let down by the accommodation we had booked with a different host on booking.com The hosts of this place were fabulous, met us at the apartment with wine! Then they were in touch later with restaurant and bar recommendations. Super friendly and helpful. The apartment itself is beautiful. Furnished to a high standard and spotlessly clean. It's in a great position for both the port and the town with bars and restaurants on the doorstep. We will definitely be back here.

Spacious and well equiped apartment suitable for large families. 3 large bedrooms, 1 big living room and large kitchen makes the the whole stay very comfortable. Apartment is placed in perfect location, close to the park, close to the main attractions of Malaga. Hosts was very kind and helpful, helped us a lot in late check-out. 2 minutes from supermarket and bars, restaurants , 5m min to train station. Very strong Wifi connection and Netflix...we do definetely go back.
