How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Having to leave!!
The BEST location... tucked in behind the stunning Burgos Cathedral in a very quiet and peaceful pedestrian area, and minutes walking distance away from both the historical and touristic attractions, great tapas bars/restaurants/parks.. and superb views of the city from the Mirador del Castillo behind. Right beside Contemporary Art Museum of Burgos (CAB). Not only that, behind the simple facade of the front door of this little gem is a dream getaway place to stay, with all the home comforts you need. Superbly decorated, great beds and pillows, the best TV Netflix etc on demand, great shower facilities, well equipped and super stylish in decoration. Our host was so communicative and helpful, nothing was a problem. I travelled with my son, wife and two young girls and we all enjoyed it immensely and would love to return here again. Highly recommended 👌

As it is ground floor and with wide windows, you can hear noise from the street.
Nice apartment, clean, and well located to visit the city center. Jesus was a great host, always ready to help. Great value for money.

Everything about this apartment is lovely and it’s super comfortable. The location is brilliant and very convenient. Communication with owner also super easy. Overall a perfect place to stay in Burgos!

Perfect location a couple of minutes walk from the centre without all the noise from the bars. The apartment is spacious and well equipped with everything you could need.

It's the second time we stay here with our baby twin boys and our dog. Jesus is a wonderful host and the place is very well equiped. We will return for a third time!

Maybe there could be more coat hangers in the wardrobes but not really a problem.
Very central location. Extremely well equipped. Excellent communication and recommendations from the owner, Jesús. Thank you for this. Spacious and aiiry accommodation. Very clean.

2 person bed very small for 2 people (at least for us) Parking is available (€15/night) but difficult to enter No private space outside, if you open the door you're on the street But these cons are small compared to the pros

Moving around by car was not the easiest, but we managed well.
A welcoming host, cozy apartment and easy access for walking around the city. Everything is close by.

Perhaps a better door marking for taxi drivers - ours had a bit of difficulty locating the unit.
Great location, behind cathedral, and close to CAB (arts centre) and castle. Very new. Great decor and very workable kitchen. Great bathroom and shower. Dishwasher, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, etc, everything one would need. Clothes washer and drying rack as well. Jesus is an excellent host, kept in touch and was very helpful when my wife had a fall and broke her ankle.

Fantastic place and an amazing location, just 2 steps from the cathedral. Jesus is a wonderful host and received us very well. The place is very well decorated and equiped. We travelled with our dog and there was no issue (there is an additional fee for pets which was expected). We will book again when we return to Burgos.
