Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainEverything, from the location, the facilities, the comfort, the easy communication, to the most important, the pet-friendliness :) In addition, the design of every detail of the apartment is just so nice! Lastly, it has an impecable rooftop with amazing view to the church, the chapel and the castle of Arnedillo! We also enjoyed an amazing dinner with starry night up there ;)

United KingdomThe floor fan cost 27 euros, but I am sure he was more concerned with his electricity bill!!!! Washing up the dishes was another ordeal, with no plug in the kitchen sink, no bowl, no draining rack. I'm sure he thinks his guests break plates deliberately, but the truth is that it is very easy to drop them in these circumstances. Of greater concern than the owner's bad temper is his constant watching of his CCTV. There are cameras all over the apartmentos. The minute you take something out of the store room, he is knocking on your door, angry, accusing you of stealing. There is even a CCTV camera on the roof terrace, where you are sunbathing. This is the behaviour of a pervert. One day my eldest daughter could not find her shoe, later I found it in the store room! No note, no message, no explanation. Draw your own conclusions about what a weirdo this man is. Fortunately my father was angry and aggressive, and I have plenty of practice dealing with men like this. Rest assured, if a massive hornet flies into the apartment, I am helping myself to the fly spray without waiting to ask permission. If I run out of toilet paper, I WILL help myself to a replacement. For the princely sum of £2,500 I will not fret about using his bleach, or detergent. I can only say my Spanish vocabulary has improved, and I know a word to describe this man: tacaño What else can I add - no instructions anywhere for what you can or can't use, or how to use them. No information anywhere on what to do with your rubbish. We had to work all this out for ourselves. IF YOU ARE STAYING HERE, PLEASE KNOW THERE IS A FLOOR FAN. I had no room in my luggage to take it home. Do not believe all this nonsense that it is never hot enough to need one. We had one day where it was 40 degrees and so hot you could barely breathe at night. My advice is, book the Casita opposite, the lady who runs it keeps it very nice and her cooking smells great.
The owner promised me a bath tub and a floor fan. The listing states "Bath or Shower". It was made VERY clear that I NEED a bath tub, not a shower because I suffer from the skin disease psoriasis. Imagine my dismay to find no bath tub and the owner had no sympathy, only anger. Before arriving he asked me to book privately and cancel my booking.com booking, for a reduction of £400, so I think he knew perfectly well that I would not be happy. On arriving we noticed a strong smell of cigarettes in the "NON SMOKING" apartmentos. We had to keep the windows open the whole time. Later we found a cigarette butt under the bin. The flat was dirty, from the kitchen counters to the microwave, and someone else's used sanitary towel in the bathroom bin. When I went to find some bleach and floor cleaner, I was accused of stealing!!! Fancy that, you are cleaning his flat and he calls you a thief!!! He would not give a refund so we could go elsewhere, so we had to make the best of it. The listing on here also states that cleaning products are provided and that there is a washing machine. The washing machine is NOT in the apartment, but you are sharing it with the cleaning staff and everyone else. It is in an apartment which has not been renovated yet. There was a tumble drier, which looked broken, and he asked me to dry my washing on the line, which as you might guess, was also shared with the cleaning lady, and full of bed sheets. We went shopping, and tried to cook a meal, only to discover that the kitchen equipment was lacking. Tiny pans not large enough even to fry a fish fillet, and lacking basic items such as a mixing bowl, cheese grater, peeler, bread knife. I asked for these, but none arrived, and the same for the floor fan. Eventually I shamed him into providing these things by putting up a poster asking to buy or borrow them. Arnedillo is a very small town, with nowhere to buy kitchen equipment.

SpainWe were there in August during the celebration of "fiestas," so it was very noisy at night, as there is a square right next to the apartment where the main events are held. Unfortunately, the owner warned us about this too late , when we were already on the way. A little bit strange shower in the bedroom; well some may like it… There was no kettle.
These touristic apartments are located in the centre of the village , near the river . They have an open common terrace at the top of the building with chairs and tables , where you can enjoy a stunning view of the medieval church and the mountains .
