There us nothing at all we didn’t like and enjoy. Reluctant to say anything about this lovely accommodation because we want to keep it a secret but Nico who met us in warmly on a very wet evening and Rafa and Rafa the hosts deserve to receive a 5 star review. They were all exceptionally welcoming attentive and helpful Well done all of you we hope to visit again on our way between UK and Portugal

Too short a stay

Very welcoming hosts, amazing house. There was lavender blooming outside which was the icing on the cake for me. Highly recommend this establishment!

Lovely accommodation in a tranquil setting. The whole property is beautifully decorated and has a lovely sunny terrace. Breakfast was exceptionally good. Very friendly and helpful hosts. We would have no hesitation in visiting again.

I rarely leave reviews but this hotel exceeded expectations! Located in the building of the seminary, very atmospheric. Everything is clean, new, beautiful design, big comfortable bed, the room is warm, staff is very friendly and polite, nice price, delicious breakfast. 10 minutes by car to the reservoir. I recommend driving away from Aguilar de campo and stay here, you won't regret it!

Can't think about a thing.

Everything 🤣. We only stayed for a night on the way to ferry, but wouldn't mind to come back or stay longer. Historical building with Rafael and Rafael giving us a lesson from it's past, short drive to town, fantastic bed. It has great common areas to just sit and read a book. Nice breakfast.

Can be challenging to find the right turn. Ask for directions in advance.

Everything was just perfect. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Extra attention. Possibility to drink cup of tea with pastries after the long drive. Good breakfast!

Lovely newly redesigned country house hotel. Super comfortable bed for a good night sleep. Breakfast superb, and view over the terrace. The guys Raphael and Raphael are very attentive to guests and make you feel very at home. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

This place is just amazing. Firstly, Rafael and Rafael were the kindest. They helped us in everything we needed and were extremely friendly. The Maison is beautifully decorated and the beds are big and confortable. Breakfast was delicious. It was just in the perfect place to visit Burgos, Santander or just relax. Our only mistake was not staying for moer nights and enjoy the countryside. Definitely will be back here if I visit the area. Highly recommended.

Beautiful hotel in a newly tastefully renovated historic building. The hotel only opened in September so the rooms are spotless featuring all amenities you would expect in a modern luxury hotel. The co managers Rafael (identical first names!) couldnt do enough to ensure that our overnight stopover was memorable even rustling up a meal when they realised we were too tired after our long drive from Almería to visit a local restaurant.Cant wait to return for a few more days the next time we are in the region

Everything 😍 This amazing venue is what hospitality should be about. Beautifully presented, immaculately clean accomodation with staff who accommodate your every need & are so open, welcoming & love what they do it's like being a guest in someone's home - bedding fantastically comfortable & ensuite bathroom even has L'occataine toiletries - divine & reflective of the many beautiful touches this fabulous place is brimming with. Fantastic value & beautifully presented continental style breakfast. Location was perfect for us travelling to Santander for return ferry - very easy to find & literally fall off the main road into a picture perfect village. Visited nearby town to eat on recommendation of Raphael & was not disappointed - lots of choice in this bustling little town as well as many attractions to visit. Cannot wait to return & also visit other sister hotels although I'm sure they won't have the magic of the wonderful Raph & Raph - thank you.

My husband and I traveled by car to different countries and visited 6 countries and spent the night everywhere and in some for several nights. I can say that it was the most beautiful and the most cozy hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room is very comfortable and clean. Breakfast exceeded all our expectations! The hotel was very easy to find. I can say with confidence that we will come to this hotel again! Thank you for the pleasant emotions and memories.

Maison Baron is a beautiful, stylish and comfortable place to stay, in a small village deep in the countryside. The welcome given by Rafael was remarkable. Nothing is too much trouble - a dinner at a restaurant in town ? I’ll phone and make a reservation for you,and explain that you speak no Spanish ! Freshly squeezed orange juice? Of course. We have been on a road trip around Spain and Portugal for 3 weeks, and Maison Baron was the best place we stayed, and we have been staying in some fantastic hotels, including beautiful Pousadas. Our bedroom was fantastic - glorious wooden floors, a beautiful walk in shower, a superb comfortable bed and a sitting room with a sofa. Truly magnificent - we loved it there

Absolutely beautiful building and 5 star quality everything! However, the treatment and service provided by both Rafaels is superb. Never felt so well looked after in a hotel and we have travelled all over the world. The kindness shown to my mum was especially heartwarming. Breakfast was a feast, and the honesty bar incredibly reasonable. The weather was horrendous, so we stayed put, added an extra night, and relaxed in the beautifully appointed library space. Did not want to leave. The hotel is gorgeous, but the best feature is the service provided. Thank you both.

Everything from the welcome, ambience , room which was beautiful as was the bed towels and bedding (and I am fussy). We arrived late were shown round and had some wine ham and cheese which were perfect. Slept solidly to a lovely plentiful breakfast - which was all just prepared and fresh This place is above any standard for the price I would highly recommend it The 2 Rafaels were gorgeous

An absolute gem. We honestly can’t recommend the hotel enough. The decor and attention to detail throughout the entire building is wonderful. It really is beautiful. The hosts are lovely. Especially Rafael who was so helpful and attentive during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious. There is a lovely outside terrace with tables and chairs for relaxing as well as stylish lounges. A truly excellent stay. We will definitely return.
