The breakfast buffet wasn't the best, nothing particularly wrong, and the staff in the dining room are lovely, but I think it was just a bit cold/draughty in there and most of the options were cold dishes - maybe not a problem for the warmer weather but in the mid-winter I do appreciate a bit more in the way of hot/warm options. The coffee and the fresh bread was pretty good though!

We had a wonderful weekend break in Malaga to meet up with friends. I was looking for a fairly priced four-star hotel close to the centre of town, and the Mariposa hotel did not disappoint. We stayed in a standard double room and the size of the room was really great, even the bathroom was nice and big. Everything worked well, and there were no frustrations or irritations. We were not bothered by noise at all, even though the street below can get quite noisy from all the restaurants, it quietened down again by the time we were ready for bed so it was very peaceful late at night. The service was excellent as well. We asked at reception for a kettle to be sent up to the room and by the time we had gone up there was already someone there to give us our kettle :) The rooftop terrace is also very pleasant.

Its location, comfortable bed and room. Plentiful breakfast and lovely rooftop bar. Excellent, helpful staff, especially Ava who looked after us so well and gave us lots of tips for good restaurants and bars in the area. Soho is a lovely, buzzing area.

I like a bed that gives me a hug and unfortunately the bed was a bit too hard for that. It was a bit high to as was the sink for someone of 4’11” small points but that is my opinion. I think in the winter months there should be some bar facilities inside. There was a bank holiday for the Fiesta of the Immaculate Conception on the 8th December therefore Malaga was very busy, a bit too busy.

The hotel was well appointed and very clean, the rooftop bar was really nice. The shower facilities were excellent.

The insulation between rooms wasn’t great, and the noise from the rooftop bar can be heard in a fourth-floor room.

Great location, within walking distance to all major sights and a couple of beaches. Pleasant hotel with super comfortable beds, however on the small side. Helpful staff.

TV remote control was pathetic! That’s it! That’s the worst thing about our stay!

Front desk staff were fantastic. Started with a free upgrade … a genuine one to a suite not just a “we’ve given you a complimentary upgrade” one! All of the staff spoke excellent English, all extremely helpful and did so very professionally but also appeared genuinely happy to help. Short walk to the main shopping area, Port and Xmas lights. Lots of restaurants near by and still quiet.

The gym is very very small and cramped with equipment, there was no water, towels or paper towels. You feel a little like you are exercising in a cupboard. Choice of savoury food for breakfast was very limited, lots of cakes and fruits but for €15 we found it to be an ok value for money.

Very good, central location if you don't need a parking space. Boutique design, very clean and friendly staff members. The rooftop bar has a nice vibe and good selection of drinks.
