It has an inner locking door between the kitchen /lounge and bedrooms/toilets so if you went to the kitchen after 23.30 you got locked out. Ridiculous.

The swimming pool would have been fabulous had the weather been better. Location was great.

Too few toilets for amount of people. Although the toilets/ showers were beautiful and clean, queuing up was hard because of ratio of toilets to people. They said there was a swimming pool- it wasn’t available as it was being cleaned.

Perfect location, clean, good spaces. Toilet/ shower room were beautiful

The staff wasn't so friendly. I tried to use an app to communicate but she showed that she was annoyed about not speaking Spanish. They should mention “Spanish speaking people only” Albergue. She gave me a bed next to a bathroom and a snoring person so I couldn’t sleep. It wasn’t a great stay.

I liked the location. They had laundry machines so I was happy about that. Overall the place was clean.

The area itself isn’t the most amazing - there are nicer places to spend the last night of your Camino I think. The albergue is nice enough but it’s quite noisy, with people chatting on the phone on the stairs (to allow people to sleep in the rooms?) whilst not realising how much the sound carries.

Clean, helpful staff a reasonable number of bathrooms for the number of guests.

It looked like it had been converted into an albergue quickly and a little on the cheap. Rather too many bunks in one room, so not much space to put down my mochila. The lockers weren't secured to the wall, so when I tried to turn the corner to get to my bunk, I kept brushing against it and it would wobble in a kind of scary way.

It's in a lovely and interesting old building. The location is wonderful. Multiple small tables in the kitchen, rather than one big one.

The lockers to place a pack were a bit dirty. The bed seemed to have a dip in it, like it had been well used.

Air conditioning didn't seem to work. The door to the balcony was shared with another room so we kept it closed, which made the room very hot.

Friendly atmosphere Friendly staff Nice outdoor space (although use of the pool is an additional charge)

Just off the camino, clean, efficient hostel for a one night stay.

Stayed here during my camino- the hostel was big, lots of dorm rooms, but the rooms felt spacious. Each bed had a plug, light and a locker. Sheets and blankets were provided. There were also multiple bathrooms to use, therefore did not have to wait too long. Everyone is given a key card like in a hotel, and this must be used to get back into the dorm. They also had washing/drying facilities for €4 each. Did not use the swimming pool but it is a €5 extra charge for this. The hostel was located just as you come into O Pedrouzo, and opposite La Catrina which has a great wax stamp!

The pool isn't included with the reservation and that's not made clear at the booking. It's only 5€ but it was just kind of irritating to find that out as a surprise.

Perfectly acceptable standard hostel with plugs at every bed.

The bathroom area had no door so during the night when anyone went to bathroom the light and fan went on, which was a bit disturbing. The staff wouldn't even let you sit in the pool area of you weren't swimming. Should have picked a cosier albergue.

    Good restaurants across the road

This is the first time my bed squeaked all night, that was a bit bothersome. There were 2 of our 6 bunk beds that squeaked. The lady at the reception was rather pragmatic and not going to go out of her way to be friendly. It’s not that she was rude, just dry in personality. Other than that all good.

I’ve stayed here 3 times previously. It’s my go to spot. It’s a great location, great value, and very clean facilities. I really like the fact that a group of 5-6 can stay in one room together

Due to the lack of AC we had to keep the doors to the patio open and it was very loud, we could easily hear noise from the bar across the street. You had to pay extra to use the pool (worth it on a 90+⁰F day). The floor in the shared bathroom would also get totally soaked after anyone showered.

Great location and a POOL! What an oasis after a hot grueling day on the Camino. The room was spacious and we had our own patio.
