How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Lack of toilet brush - I think it is so obvious thing to have in the toilet room.
Central location. Good new design. Soundproof. Welcome drinks. Very friendly staff. Good bathroom amenities. Concept of still water in the room: you have special bottle to be filled in with filleted water as much as you want and you can use this bottle for city walk with you.

Our first night we were given a 1st floor room which was really noisy with bin men/trucks and late night music. Hotel were great and moved us for our remaining nights.
Location was great. You can’t drive up to the property but it’s right next to McDonalds so super easy to find. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had lunch and a dinner in the restaurant and food was excellent and not overpriced. Beds are very comfortable.

The hotel room was very very small, we didn't even have space to be able to walk from our luggages. I don't think it's worth the amount of money we paid for such a small room.
The hotel is very nice, the terrace with beautiful views and amazing cocktails, the staff is very friendly, the location is great.

The ironing board... are very small. A hotel of this standing should have proper full sized ironing boards / tables. The breakfast could should have more choices given the price of 34 EUR.
Great sized rooms and amenities with matching customer service. The location is very central!!

I guess the hallways and the alleys were pretty narrow, but considering this is right in the heart of Madrid that is something to be expected.
The property was very well kept and well maintained. It didn’t seem like a regular touristy place.

Possibly the best hotel we have ever stayed. Great location and fantastic attention to detail. The hotel has a calm and sophisticated feel throughout. All staff were fantastic and consistent through entry, reception, bar area, rooftop and breakfast. We enjoyed each area. The room was very well designed, comfortable and with many thoughtful features. Lovely complimentary cocktail to start our first evening. I would not hesitate to recommend or return.

1. What is wrong with the lights in the toilet, it keeps working for only 10 seconds and swithes off if you do not move or jump like a monkey. 2. Room is very small for this price. Either price should be lower or room bigger. It doesnt match im sorry.
1. The style of the hotel is very hot and location is great. 2. The breakfast is very very good. I would return here for the breakfast. Prices for breakfast should be reconsidered though, it hurts. My suggestion is that second person staying in the room should get a discount. 3. Staff is amazing , very nice team.

Welcome drink...should be a drink of your choice. Not some pre-made watered down mix. These little details really matter and are in sharp contrast with the rest of the hotel which is great.
Great location, service, amenities, room size and comfort. Very centrally located! Highly recommend..
