Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Italythe location and nature around create a unique atmosphere. This hotel became the final point of our walking journey and I felt even better than the 5-star hotel where we had rested the previous night. When you are surrounded by the elements of the ocean, it is incomparable to anything; it was here that my soul rested and I was filled with energy.

United KingdomThe evening meal was a disappointment, labelled as fresh fish stew , was in fact a piece of salt with a few boiled potatoes. Perfectly cooked just not consistent with the otherwise great food I've had in Galicia.
Perfect location as I was walking the Camino Finisterra and this is the endpoint. The single room despite being very small was good value. Breakfast was perfect small amounts of several things beautifully presented in the upstairs seated area overlooking the ocean. Bar staff were pleasant, helpful and efficient. The terrace is lovely

AustraliaI needed to leave early and when I wanted to check out at 8, there was nobody to finalize account with. Also it took me a while to find an exit that I could get out of.
Staff were friendly, location was amazing. I booked the single room and I found it to be clean, uncluttered and when you open the window you can hear the sea!

AustraliaGreat place to treat yourself at the end of the Camino. The location is brilliant. If traveling solo and having a single room it is very tight on space. But absolute luxury after a bunk in an Alburgue.

United StatesNo complaints, Everything was great!
The location at "the end of the world" was the perfect place to celebrate the completion of the Camino! The staff members were exceptional, and the lady, Noe, that checked me in after a wet and foggy trek was very kind and considerate. The manager, Mr. "Jacinto", was the ultimate professional, treating each guest with his personal attention, and ensuring that all their needs were met. His outgoing, pleasant personality was the highlight of our stay, and his recommendations for the daily catch were spot on. The restaurant and dining experience were exceptional and "fresh from the sea"! This was an incredible stay, and for me and my husband, the ultimate--as close to being at sea without being on a ship! A huge thank you to the entire staff for making this an experience that we will always cherish.

The location of this wonderful hotel is quite remarkable. My room, while small, was perfectly adequate and the bathroom had the best shower I’ve experienced in the last few months of staying in different hotels. The staff are excellent - friendly, helpful and a true credit to the hotel. The food at the restaurant was fantastic !

ItalyThe breakfast organization . I have got a vassor with some things inside . No chances to choose something different and as far as you imagine hundreds of people have different tastes, different culture and so on . In few words no way to choose what I wanted to eat for my breakfast.(I'm not sure if there was the opoortunity to ask for different things) Anyway , Please , don't keep this indication as a negative review , but I believe that can be improved . Try to find a way to realize a buffet where all the people can catch what really they want to eat in order to initiate the day in the better way possible. Thank you Marco Felisio
This hotel is fantastic . The position is what anybody would have to appreciate the sunset , the sunrise and the 360° landscape. The silence as well that help you to look at the ocean dreaming and thinking about all staffs of your life , past and present. It is a wonderful medicine for the eyes , for the heart , digging in depth in your soul. I lived sensation that is impossible to explain , but that will remain with me till the end of my life . Thank you so much for allowing this priceless experience Marco Felisio

United Kingdomthe breakfast was a bit basic and the internet never worked, but I guess in a place as remote as Fisterra that is to be expected.
The location - literally at the end of the world - is amazing and it is a very cofortable and welcoming place to stay in both good weather and (more than likely ) bad weather/atrocious weather.
