I expected the village nearby to be more lively - like having a bakery or something like tapas place, but unfortunately there were only two restaurants - one too simple and one too fancy. But it shouldn't be attribute to the hotel and just something that I should have researched beforehand.

I absolutely loved the room's decor in this hotel—those wooden beams, floors, and walls gave the whole space such a warm, cozy vibe. It felt both rustic and stylish, really making my stay extra special! There is a charging station for electric cars right in the parking lot. Made it really easy for me to keep my car charged during my stay!

This place is super nice, with cozy rooms and a super friendly staff. You instantly feel relaxed when you enter the place. The staff was really helpful when we arrived to early. The place is really clean and also the breakfast is very enjoyable. The location is in a nice little village in the green mountains and convenient to explore the surroundings and Bilbao or San Sebastián.

There was no frigde in the room (and the one of the kitchen was full). Would be good to have one in the building to keep your food if required, especially given there were no vegetarian restaurants nearby and having your own food is essential.

Amazing location, style of the building and facilities, everything is harmonious and beautiful. It's a no smoking place which is amazing! Also great variety of local wines, highly recommended.

- The OAR Cottage is extremely clean. The rooms and also the common areas including the garden are really taken care off! - The people from the OAR Cottage are very kind and helpful in every aspect. We very much appreciated the service during the breakfast. Always attentive, never annoying! :-) - It‘s located in a very silent rural area. Not too far away from Bilbao and San Sebastián, just in the middle of green Basque landscape. Beautiful!

Carmen and the team were fantastic and very helpful, giving us restaurant adresses for example to discover Biskaia a bit more. On top of it, the desayuno was really good and fresh!

Our stay was ideal, would only say that because the cottage is located in a beautiful and quiet village, the nearest shops for any supplies outside of the hotel and local restaurant are in Durango, which is a few miles drive away, so easiest to pick anything up on the qu.

Could not recommend this place enough. Beautiful attention to detail - gorgeous interiors, the whole place smelt amazing, and our hosts were welcoming and attentive. As others are reporting, the breakfast is a lovely touch. The terrace at sunset is also lovely with a cold bottle of wine.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful, mostly made of wood with attention for the details and located in the nature. I have been in many hotels, but I have never found such a clean place: everywhere you look , is clean. Great job from the management and staff! Breakfast is also very good.
