Very poor TV channel options for a hotel of this category and price point.

Breakfast was excellent. Service was spotty. Assistance with access and exit from parking for two motorcycles was helpful, though one of us got hit by the barrier each time upon exiting.

A beautiful little boutique hotel in a perfect location and with friendly and helpful staff. We'll worth the premium price tag. We particularly liked how welcome the staff made us feel.

On check in we were given option of paying in full for our stay ie up front or pre- authorising payment but no money would be taken. Chose pre- authorisation option. Absolutely assured no money would be taken until end of stay. Two days before we were due to check out we noticed that full accommodation costs were deducted on day of check in. We immediately raised this with receptionist. Told by staff no money deducted. Throughly and exhaustivelt reassured of that. When we checked out the following day receptionist confirmed money was indeed deducted on day we checked in. They were apologetic and we dealt with it. It was a training issue. But 4 staff members had incorrectly given us the wrong information. That was frustrating and could have been very upsetting or distressing for another guest.

Rooftop pool was still closed May 5-7 (Booking.com says it’s closed til April 30th). Restaurant service is very friendly and professional but not well organized during peak times (looking at other guest’s reviews it seems to be a known issue). We had a waiting time of 30 mins until someone came and picked up our order for drinks and food (to be fair when we were being brought to the table the waiter asked for drinks, we ordered water and were given menus but eg nothing to nibble on. Then it took 30 mins. If you know the Lion commercials you will understand how my mood deteriorates and bitchiness increases when I’m hungry). After the ‚main‘ waiter came (and I was a tad impolite - which I apologize for) everything went fast. Food and drinks came quickly and were excellent. So it’s really a shame that the speed of service didn’t match the otherwise high quality and experience of the hotel overall. If there is a shortage of qualified staff then there must be a way to improve service quality (eg improve menu with recommended wine per dish so that any waiter or barman can take the order , provide something to nibble on right from the start or take order for starter before the main dish etc ). Otherwise there is nothing to critise.

We didnt take breakfast. We thought it was quite expensive. It would have been nice if the pool had water in it.

The food in the restaurant was exceptionally good. Rooms clean and comfortable. Hotel staff exceptionally helpful and pleasant. Parking does require a bit of navigaton but the staff came promptly to collect our bags and take us to the hotel close by.

The hotel is a lovely oasis in the busy heart of Malaga. Everything was in easy walking distance from the hotel. The hotel was charming and the dining area a lovely light filled space. Our junior suite was very comfortable with a spacious modern bathroom and warm oak floors and paneling and all the amenities for a comfortable stay. All the staff were very attentive and pleasant and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Would stay here again if returning to Malaga.

We were placed in room 132, which was a very nice, cosy room, located in the newer annex, albeit the exterior view is of a metal roof and hoarding, and concrete walls. Not the best. The television was not able to be viewed from the bed due to the location of one of the pillars of the bed frame, (see photo). We stayed room only, and the price we felt was high for what was a small room without breakfast.

Lovely old property restored to a very high standard. Extremely well located in the historic old town, within easy walking distance of all the major sights. Our room was very quiet.
