How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There is a sound of water pipes (I think) that is constant; like a moaning sound. My wife and I weren't bothered but for light sleepers it may be a problem.
The location was equidistant from the city centre by the market and the marina/beach. This was exactly for what we were looking.

Single beds that were sliding away from each other all the time was really uncomfortable. I understand that the hotel couldn't provide a double bed but single beds on the wheels were really weird. There should be some way for the staff to stick them together if guests request double bed.
The bathroom was amazing, also the location was nice.

Close to the concert hall but in more of an office commercial area. About a 15 minute walk to restaurants

Toilet in our room was broken. We were four people and they offered us a different room for two people, all of us needed to use toilet in the new room

I upgraded the apartment to one with a balcony when booking but this was not known at arrival. First we got an apartment without balcony but after reaching out about this to the receptionist we were switched to one with balcony.
We rented bikes via Palau apartments and got a flat tire on the way during the day. One phone call and communicating our location via WhatsApp were sufficient to change the bike within 45 minutes.

The alarm that was trigger,it seemed to be a problem with the alarm. apparently, it triggered quite often, and the complete building goes outside.

The beds were 2 single pushed together and separated, not so good for our wedding anniversary night, ha ha

The breakfast didn’t value the money.
It was very nice, accommodation is really good for families with young children due to the small kitchen and ability to prepare some food. It was very comfortable.

Very satisfying stay. We arrived early in the morning and they allowed us to check in. We wanted a high floor apartment- they gave us. We needed a taxi for an early flight- they ordered one for us. And the apartment was very nice and clean.

Breakfast should be included in the hotel facility.
Location, cleanliness, the staff was very friendly and their English was very good. They arranged everything we asked for. The room was big enough and cozy.

I don’t know if we were given a smokers room, but every time we were entering the room there was this lingering smoking odor. It was ok after opening the windows a bit. In addition, it would have been nice to have somewhere to hook the face towels in the bathroom. Also, we are very light sleepers and requested a quiet room. The lady at the reception did whatever she could, but it turns out that the isolation between the floors is not the best. For the first night, we had a small child waking up and playing quite loudly in the morning, the second night it seemed like the people above us were moving furniture at 7 am on a Sunday. Slept with ear plugs, which is not ideal in holiday.
It was very well located, the room was nice, the bed was comfortable, good quality towels, the lady at the reception was nice. The hotel seems to have nice facilities such as laundry, although we did not use it. The hotel is conveniently located from the metro when coming from the airport and it has a few nice cafeterias around for breakfast.

The beds. They are two single beds pushed together but not fixed so they part during the night. Should have couplings. Mattress were thin and not very comfortable.

More cloth hangers and soft closing doors in wardrobe
One of the best breakfast I've ever had. Very good toasts, sandwiches and perfect coffee. Apartament equipped with everything what family needs to spend vacation time here.
