Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesNo coffee making facilities in the room. This is a basic standard at any hotel. Also no where to get coffee in the morning before breakfast.

United StatesThis is the third Parador I have stayed at. Leon and Santiago de Compostela are beautiful and typical Paradors with historical settings. The Costa in Muxia is very modern but maintains the typical professional Parador staff and 5 Star quality. I stayed 3 days after finishing the Camino and it was so relaxing. It is set on top of a beautiful beach. The staff could not have been any more welcoming and professional and worked so hard to keep up with all the guests’ demands. Beautiful modern 5 Star hotel and service. The Parador brand is my favorite go to hotel in Spain. They do such a great job and treat the guests with 5 Star service. This is a fantastic property and I wish so could have stayed for a week.

United StatesNothing, nada, it was exceptional!
We loved everything about this hotel: the dramatic siting on the side of the hill overlooking Muxia and the sea, the ultra modern look & feel of the property, the spa, the restaurants, room service, pool, walk down to and on the beach. The bed was so comfy, the large sliding door to the balcony. The diagonal elevator. The quiet and private-ness. We would love to come back to NW Spain just to stay at this property again. Oh, and did I mention the exceptional, friendly staff? All dedicated to meeting our needs in a cheerful & professional manner.

CroatiaOver designed interior, cold and dysfunctional. Bathroom area lacks privacy, ‘fancy’ lightening difficult to figure out, bedside tables ridiculous. Overall impression is that we got the bathroom with bad.

NetherlandsThe fact that there is only one chair in the room, and (but that's may be our own fault) that we came on the opening day of the new season, where they had some start-up problems.
We had the bad luck that we arrived at the very day of the spring opening. The room, where there is only one comfy chair (!) was very cold. It took quite some time to solve this problem for us and several other guests. And using the sauna to warm up was not an option since they charge you 30 Euro per person to visit the spa. The place itself is however beautiful and build at an exceptional location under very modern architecture. The large and more or less private beach is right in front of the hotel and looks very inviting on warm days.

United KingdomToilet and shower were small and opened directly into the bedroom and as the extractor did not appear to work, this gave an unpleasant atmosphere. This was disappointing given how good everything else was.
Amazing modern hotel in beautiful location overlooking a sandy beach. Comfortable bed and good hotel facilities. Good restaurant on site.

United KingdomAbsolute luxury with amazing views. A perfect end to our camino. Wish we had have booked an extra night so we could have appreciated it more when we weren't so tired. Stunning infinity pool overlooking a beautiful beach. Well worth spending the extra money after a week of much cheaper hotels on our walk.

United KingdomThat you have to pay for the spa on top of your room, just doesnt seem right, surely this should be paid for in the cost of your room? More options in the cafe for lunch would have been good or a changing menu maybe..
The hotel had everything you'd ever need and even some you never knew ... Lifts that travel diagonally ..awesome!! We had a room on the 3rd floor which was exceptional and if came back this is the level I would want to stay on again. Its great when they were building it that they thought about the views and gave everyone a balcony, with a space to just sit and stare at the sea / views The spa was excellent and the massages were very good. The swimming pool was good, although it can be very busy on a Saturday. The views were epic from every part of the hotel and only being a 5 minute walk to the beach and 30 minutes from Muxia is great as we walked in a couple of times for lunches and dinner. The story boards and art within the hotel that tell the story of why it was built just add to the ambience, especially the quiet library corner

AustraliaA luxurious way to complete our Camiño. The facilities are top class, close to the beach, the view spectacular. It is a Parador hotel so it isn’t cheap! But after sleeping in many different beds for the last few weeks it was a great treat.

United StatesFood seemed a little overpriced and the dinner menu was unclear as to first/second courses. Staff were not the most friendly. Would have loved a coffee maker or at least a pour over in the room like the Parador we stayed in Santiago.
Wonderful view, great rooms. Nice access to beach and hiking along the coast. Lovely artwork on every floor. A great end to our Camino.
