the distance to walk from the cathedral, but we walked many km to reach Santiago with Camino so it didn't much matter, but we arrive to a nice place so it is important.

Martha the receptionist was very helpful and very welcoming, The staff helped to put our luggages in the room. She also was a great resource in helping with directions to bus station and recommendation of transportation. Room was great , beds were comfortable , the view of the cathedral from our room window was so nice.

It was a little loud at night but this was mainly due to the festival that only takes place the weekend we were staying.

Lovely view from the window beneath our room of the cathedral. The room was spacious for two and had everything we needed for our stay. The staff were helpful and breakfast was just right.

When I booked I asked about breakfast, I was told they didn't provide breakfast. When we arrived a note in our room said we could have breakfast if we booked before 9pm. It was 3pm so I asked to book breakfast. I was told there wasn't any. The next morning we got up to go to the café at the end of the road. People were having breakfast! If you have a car the car park is a bit of a walk. You cant park outside to unload as its a busy road.

The room was comfortable. We had a view of the Cathedral. The bathroom needs an upgrade.

We had a room with a view of the Cathedral. The large room was spotlessly clean. It was cold the first two nights there and extra blankets were available. The location of the property was ideal for sightseeing. Short walk to the Cathedral, restaurants, shops and a beautiful park. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Amazing stay at the end of the Camino Portugese. Fabulous location and just out of the hotel turn right and on the corner an excellent cafe for breakfast. We had a room at the back and had a fabulous view of the cathedral and very peaceful.

The walls were quite thin so you could hear other guests and people in the corridor.

    No negatives

There wasn't a single negative about Hotel Pazos Alba that I can possibly think of. Exceptional value for money, incredibly friendly, smiley, helpful and charismatic young staff. The premises were absolutely spotless throughout. Clear and concise instructions were also sent to me regarding gaining access to my room (as the reception closes at 9pm), so comms are absolutely spot on. The staff also spoke exceptionally good English; although this wasn't a problem for me personally as my partner is Spanish/Catalan anyway. Reception staff also provided good recommendations as where to eat locally, and where to catch the bus from back to the airport. All of this, plus only 5 minutes walk away from the Old Town and the Cathedral. The young lady on reception, didn't even wish to take the tip I provided her with (but I insisted she took) for her exceptional service! How humble is that? I would stay there again, at the drop of a hat.

The rooms very much suited our needs but were a little bit basic as far as the design.

Our room had an incredible view of the historical downtown and was a short walk from all the attractions. The staff were also very kind. We would certainly return again in the future.
