Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FranceA not so nice detail happened at the reception, after having a problem with a foreign card, the person in charge told us that if we didn't have money we had to leave. I don't think it was necessary to make such a classless and disrespectful comment with respect to guests who came to work at the film festival in the city and who stayed and paid for 10 days at the hotel.
The space is pleasant, comfortable and the room service is excellent.

United Stateshe room and especially the bathroom was dark. Hard to get natural light in the room because if you opened the window, the apts on the other side look right in. The bathroom didn't have any natural light.( should paint it white to make it lighter- it felt like a cave) The bathroom was clean except for the ceiling in the shower, there was mold growing all over the ceiling. Also, the sinks too forever to drain, so it would leave a ring of gunk as it drained slowly. ICK! Also, it was very loud! There were several nights where I didn't sleep at all because the noise on the street, one floor below was going off!
the room was big so felt like had some space. It was clean and the furniture was nice. the location in the old town was great, easy to the beach and a lot of destinations. The cleaning lady was very nice as was Aurora.

Once at 1am when they were given the key to our room to check-in instead of their own room. CanadaCheck-in office was offsite just south of old town and only open 2pm-8pm. The room was one of about 10 rooms all within one complex on part of the 1st floor with a main entrance so you have to scan your keycard to open the main entrance and walk down the corridor to your room and scan your keycard to access your room. The double bed is actually 2 twin beds pushed together.
Location in old town was great. There was daily housekeeping and a safe in the room.

AustraliaCheck in was a little confusing but it all worked out. Note: check in is in a different location. Drive there to pick up room key and (paid) parking voucher, then drive to car park, and then walk to guesthouse. Note that the luggage could perhaps be left at check in for pick up after parking to make it easier, as there is no elevator at the parking so bags must be carried up two flights of stairs.
A comfortable room with private bathroom well located in the Old Town, just steps to bars, restaurants, close to the beach. The bed and shower were comfortable, the room was small but has good storage. At the apartment, the elevator was helpful with luggage. We stayed two nights and we would have enjoyed staying longer at Don Cecilio to explore San Sebastian some more. I highly recommend nearby Donostiarra Taska for Pintxos. Delicious and better value than some others.
