Slightly clearer instructions on how to access property would have helped, but we worked it out.

Good location near old town. Public parking nearby(29 euros for 24 hrs). Well equipped with shared kitchen area and supplies of tea, coffee and milk etc. lift to property. Helpful owner. Close to hop on hop off bus start. Close to landmarks. Air conditioning. Several shops& bars very close. Couple of cafes.

This pension was so clean and the room spacious and comfortable. We loved the shared kitchen to make our own breakfast before going out for a day of exploring. Luis, the owner was so friendly and informative. The pension is in a beautiful old building in a quiet neighborhood but very close to the old quarters. Perfect location.

The location is excellent, the room and bathroom were spacious, great bed 😴, the hosts were very helpful with our logistical plans with cars, taxis, buses, and trains. There is a great bar downstairs. I’d stay there again!

Very happy with our stay.

We had good contact from Lois regarding our checkin time and found this small pension easily. Our room was very well prepared. Clean, as was the whole pension and generous space. We had been aware when we booked that our bathroom was separated from bedroom but it was just next door and easily accessed. Very clean. The pension is very well located with easy access to both the beach and old city areas. Very good value for $ in an expensive city.

Everything. Of 27 accommodation stays on our big trip so far, this was the best. Perfect location. Very clean, modern, high quality room. Balcony with a view. Great TV with all sorts of options. High speed 5G WiFi. Very comfy bed. Good shower. Shared kitchen where you can make tea. Superb, attentive host who prepared a very thoughtful list of varied recommended tapas bars. Very good value for money.

There was nothing I didn't like!

The host was lovely and gave me a fact sheet of places to eat etc. There was a communal kitchen and I used the fridge to store my "famous" cheesecake. The room was spacious, clean and had plenty storage space and a lovely bathroom. No leaky shower! The neighbourhood was great. 5 minute walk from bus station I was given excellent directions from my host. I had travelled from Santander where my plane landed. Close to old town and beach. Had a great time. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Nothing because it already tops its category.

Despite the glowing reviews I don’t think I really quite believed them until I saw this place with my own eyes. First off the room was big, bright and sparkling clean. Then you noticed that the furnishings were of good quality finishings, not what you would expect of a ‘to let’ property. The mattress was very comfortable and the beddings snowy white, soft and so good to sleep on. Even the towels were top quality, none of those threadbare stuff you commonly encounter in cheap hotels. Every item in the room seemed to have been thoughtfully assembled. Amazingly there were 2 umbrellas in the large airy cupboard, something not many hotels even provide! The bathroom was also equally impressive and well-maintained. In addition a well-equipped kitchen came with the accommodation. There was an endless supply of different teas and coffee and you could enjoy a cuppa while gazing dreamily at the scene below the balcony. The location of the hotel was such that we could easily walk to the train station, Old Town and the world famous La Concha beach. And Luis, the host was very approachable and helpful. He had even compiled a list of not-to-missed restaurants for his guests to try! The pintxos bars he recommended were seriously spot on! But for me the icing on the cake was the asking price. It was such good value for what we were getting that it’s no wonder that this was our favourite accommodation during our 3 week-sojourn around the country. Well, now that the secret is out, I won’t be surprised that this place would book out very quickly in the future!

We cannot think of anything we did not like—really!

The location and the care in which the property is kept! Nothing was ever more than 15 minutes away and most of our destinations within 5-10 (and, equidistant) minutes. For example, one-half block from Plaza Gipuzkoa and at least two bakeries, two blocks from the old city and three blocks from La Concha and its promenade—most importantly, the bar next door (Bar Legarda) serves from early morning to late at night—their 9Euro menu dia is delicious & good value. The rooms are on the 4th floor of the building which has a small and efficient lift. Our room was large with a sit-on balcony and plenty of room for one’s luggage, etc. The bed was excellent and the covers just the right amount. We did not use either heat or AC so cannot comment on this. The common room is bright and well-appointed: coffee and tea are available, dishes (including wine glasses), microwave, refrigerator, two tables for having breakfast (bring your own). Luis has made many things available (beach towels, umbrellas, etc.). Ask and he likely has (or, knows)—a VERY responsive host. The bonus of the common room is the many other guests from all over the world you meet…however briefly! We travel extensively and stay in many 2**star pensiones—this is one of the top in every aspect!

Great location close to the heart of the city, and with convenient public parking at a discounted rate. The appartment was very comfortable and we had use of a simple kitchen that was well equipped. The excellent value makes this place an absolute winner. Highly recommended

The only thing is the tile in the shower needed a good scrubbing, this would not keep Me from staying there again.

The only drawback was that our bathroom, while private, was down the hall. It was clearly stated at booking but would have preferred ensuite. 2 of the 3 rooms did have ensuite. We booked at the last minute. Included public lot parking for a reduced fee about a block away. We had some confusion finding it.

Locatioon was great for walking into old town for delicious pinxtos. We parked the car and left it. Found buses at the end of the block for some day excursions. Was given very specific directions by owner on finding a sideria we wanted to experience (via bus). He made us a reservatiion as well.
