How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Main complaint was that the wifi was pretty bad. The network was often unavailable and even if you were able to connect, the connection dropped within a few minutes. Frustrating.
Very clean, spacious room. Nice bathroom, if small in the European tradition. Good location. Very nice and informative staff.

The rooms were a bit small, and for Camino travellers it would have been useful to have a communal social area.
Location was perfect, and the room was very, very clean.

Very petite! There wasn’t room to open my suitcase fully and the sink was too small to refill my water bottle.

Very central in O’Pedrouzo, perfect for the last stop before finishing the Camino. The staff were lovely and went out of their way to be helpful! The bed was comfy and the room clean and modern

The communication with the personnel in charge could be better. We only saw and talked to the clerk once, during check-in...We never saw her again, not even to check-out. The check-in hours are kind of limited, in our case, they had informed us via email that the check-in was only available until 5PM.

The room was well equipped with a nice washroom however the space in the room was super tight considering navigating our backpacks and days packs and footwear.
I like the location of the pension as it was located directly on the Camino. Places to eat both dinner and breakfast were just across or down the street. The breakfast recommendation was exceptional. Our hostess was welcoming and helpful.

Room was one of about 4 in the same hallway, so a bit noisy.
A lovely stay - small room but very comfortable. Friendly staff. No fridge, tea or coffee, but pleasant space. Near a few restaurants. Easy access, and bags could be delivered early. Stairs and a lift.

It wasn’t easy to find. It’s on the Main Street but needs a bigger sign easier to notice.
It’s worth the fee , the place is small but comfortable. Is night stop to move on with a private bathroom.

We were a little shocked at first that the pension looked like it was someone’s apartment that was subdivided into bedrooms with ensuites. Wifi was very spotty and weak at times
Staff was helpful and had good recommendations for places to eat. Our room was fine and worked well for our one night stay on the Camino.

Heater did not go beyond 22°C nor did it stay on for long.
Good location on the main thoroughfare and close to restaurants and a small grocery with the larger one a 10 minute walk further. Friendly staff and comfortable beds. Great and plentiful bath soap, shampoo and conditioner.

From the moment we walked in , Rosella was smiley and welcoming. The place smelt lovely, and was spotless ! . The rooms were spacious, beautiful soft towels , encased in ribon . Really homely . Perfect Pension to stay on the Camino. Access via a lift to the top floor of this building. Was greeted by a lovely lady at the agreed time and went through everything. My bag was transferred that day and it was actually waiting for me in my room! Very quiet and lovely overnight stay.
