The water was not very hot when we first arrived but did improve so maybe we were a little early checking in.

The location was good and the building was full of character. The room was large and the beds comfortable. Very nice to have the kettle and coffee.

The front entrance could have a more brighter and welcoming appearance. The stairs could cause a problem for some people.

The location is good for the old part of the city with close car parking. There are many cafes and bars and restaurants close by and easy shopping. First impressions from the outside cause a moment of hesitation but once inside the modern room and facilities area is is really up there with the best. I would recommend the Italian restaurant two doors away.

Having to share one pillow. The side tables had a moldy smell to them. I smelled it and couldn’t sleep.

We booked a twin room with shared bathroom that was on the 3rd floor. They gave us a double room with private bathroom on the first floor. Much appreciated.

The room was a bit warm as the heating turns on by itself. Mattress was a bit lumpy.

Great staff, gave recommendations for food and next day journey. Heating in the room. Small kettle in the room. Nice bathroom, even though outside of the room. Close to center of the town.

No bedside lamp which meant we had to put the very bright ceiling light on to pack and leave for an early Camiño start.

It is noisy. We were ok as few guests in but our room was between 2 communal bathrooms. Heavy doors bang as people move around and you can hear the showers and toilets flush. Ok if you don't want to sleep early but noisy from 7am. Internet cut off in the evening.

Nice room and bathroom. Good location for sightseeing and Camino. Good welcome from staff. Kettle kin room.

Some may not like the walk up the stairs, but it really is no bother.

Comfortable, no trendy frills, basic but has all that one requires for sleeping and showering. Convenient for Camino walkers.

The room has a facility to hang my wet clothes to dry. It's luxury for pilgrims on Carmino. The staff is friendly to recommend some places for sightseeing and eating. Most importantly, he mentioned that when and where the mass to be held. Very thoughtful he is!

The walls between rooms are paper thin. Even speaking softly one can hear every word in both rooms on either side. I could even hear the person next door breathing as they slept. Guests were not courteous about nighttime noise, using a air dryer after midnight, etc. So the noise necessitated earplugs, which really only helped a little. A shame - great place otherwise.

Loved the location, the owners - super friendly - and the facility was nice. Decent rooms, small as expected, adequate bathrooms, all very clean. Excellent value.

Although there was no noise from outside the pension, you can hear pretty much every sound from the other rooms and the corridors - including people talking on their mobile phones and arriving back late with no attempt at being quiet. So ear plugs are recommended. But that was the only downside in an otherwise positive stay.

The family that run the pension are lovely - very friendly & helpful. It is in a great location for access to the historic centre, river, restaurants & bars, and is a walkable distance from the train & bus stations. It was useful being able to leave our luggage there on the last day, too, while we were out & about. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the single rooms are a comfortable size.

Pension Santa Clara was neat and clean. There were shared bathrooms but one never had to wait long to use them as they are in groupings with several rooms to each set of bathrooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was in a historical and interesting part of town and not too far from the Camino which we were traveling on. There were eating, shopping, and historical sites within east walking distance. The accommodations are basic, but all we needed and included a hotpot with hot drinks.

The photos of the monastery from the balcony gave a different impression from the rooms at the back which looked onto a cement wall.. I thought it was a really old building but that was my mistake
