Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI would have liked to see the property grounds a little more well kept, but a great place regardless. The town has very limited options for dinner, but the place that was open was quite good.
The Host was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful and a great start to the day. The location was easy to find from the camino.

I loved the family vibes of this place. Everything was clean and comfortable and on top of that you have a pool too. Also I liked that you can self service anything from the fridge when you need anything.

United StatesA Brea is a great stop if you're coming from Melide, but a short day if you're coming from Arzua. It does leave a longer final day to be aware of. Otherwise, no downsides, highly reccomend.
The dinner was great and nice to have it family-style with the other guests, the pool would've been a lovely addition if it was warm enough to use it. I had a room with a shared bathroom which was very clean, comfortable, and well updated. It was a very spacious private room and great that it's pet friendly. My dog loved running around with their little dog Jimmy!

United StatesThis was an Oasis just off my Camino route. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. I arrived early and was able to check in and relax. I didn't use the pool because it was rainy, but the outside was so beautiful and peaceful. Also, I left early, so I didn't get to enjoy breakfast!

United KingdomA sign on the Camino directing you to the property would be helpful as easy to miss it as you can’t see it from the path.
Very peaceful setting 2mins from the Camino with a lovely garden and pool. Almudena the owner was very friendly and helpful and her son did a delicious BBQ chicken for those of us who wanted it. Lots of choice at breakfast and very comfortable beds. The guesthouse can be found a very short walk from El Rincon de Maria restaurant which has great food and a nice garden.

Ireland€23 from the airport to the property at half past midnight. €30 back to the airport the following morning. Too much of a differential, but I couldn't be bothered to try to negotiate, as I needed to pick-up a hire car.
Pleasant host, who was really accommodating for our late arrival. The bed was comfortable and the room a good size. The ensuite had a massive bath, but nowhere to fix the shower, so we had to hold it as we showered. A bit strange but easily remediable. The breakfast was only reasonable and the coffee could have been better.

This was our favourite private place to stay on the Camino. The facilities are wonderful including that fabulous pool which was such a treat after the long hot trek. Host was also very friendly and helpful. Slept well and had everything we needed including a lovely breakfast before moving on. Divine!

United StatesMy singular complaint. My room had the hot tub and it wasn't cleaned well. There was hair along the sides of it. I chose to clean it myself instead of complaining to the host. However, I feel this is something that should be a pretty obvious check.
The Hostess was wonderful. She is an Ex-Pat from the United States and was easy to talk with and talk to. There was a brief communication mix-up regarding dinner but when it was sorted, my niece and I were treated to an incredible homecooked meal. Absolutely delicious! The location is just slightly off the main Camino but not enough to be a problem or negatively affect your walk. It's a brief 2 - 3 minute walk to and from the Camino.

Great place to stay in small hamlet. Out in the country but only 100m off Camino. Large grassy area with hammock, pool, and lounge chairs. Clean comfortable rooms. Had wonderful BBQ chicken dinner prepared by owner's son (extra cost). Nearby bar stays open until 4:00 with great food and drink. No other food available in A Brea. Owner and son very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental but very tasty. The place to stay!
