How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The staff in the breakfast room were not nice at all staff at the reception were brilliant and helpful

Tea & coffee making facilities in the rooms would be a major plus point . Also the bolster style pillow on the bed was rather firm & a little too high for my comfort , I ended up using my padded anorak rolled up as a pillow , Some evening entertainment would probably encourage people to stay around the hotel & use the bar , even just a couple of nights a week.
We've stayed at the hotel before ,like the sea view & location. the roof top pool is very good & not crowded as most people use the ground floor pool . Just a nice distance to walk to the main area of Nerja .

We were not told that hotel supplied pool towels and only found out AFTER we purchased 2 towels

Would have liked a walk in Shower as my husband has a disability. Decor could do with updating. An information folder in the rooms explaining air con, TV, phone and information about the area and trips available would have been a great help
Excellent Hotel. Our first time to Nerja and the Hotel didn't disappoint. Decor a little dated but spotlessly clean. 2 swimming pools, 1 of which was on the roof. Good breakfast and great snack bar. Staff friendly and very efficient. Will go back

Room -Didn't like having just one long pillow even though memory foam, too flat for us and we had to fold it over. There were no extra pillows or blankets stored in the room if needed. Bath towels very small.
Have stayed here previously and love the location. Unfortunately hotel fully occupied or we would have upgraded to a sea view room. Room 126 spacious & clean but not with a great outlook. Staff always pleasant and helpful. Great roof terrace and pool area with towel hire.

We didn’t have a sea view but I should have specified that in my booking.
Location was perfect, the beach was right across the road from the building we were in. There was a roof top pool with sun loungers. Lovely food and drinks in the restaurant

We were celebrating a special wedding anniversary during our stay & had mentioned this at time of booking. At no time during our stay was it ever acknowledged.😕 In my opinion it would’ve been a nice little touch had it been!!😍

The rooms where very small no window in toilet and the Air conditioning in the rooms could do with a total upgrade aswell as the furniture beds etc in the rooms.

The breakfast was average. Air conditioning didn’t seem to work very effectively.
The location was amazing just a short walk to the beach. Lots of facilities and hotel pools with plenty of chairs to use. Great views of the ocean from the rooms too.

Room very comfortably with great views. Staff always kept the room clean but rooms could do with a little upgrade.
Location to the beach (please note not a sandy beach). Cafe very good although sometimes through no fault of staff seemed a little understaffed. Walk to the Balcon area is only about 10 mins .

Some noise from Neighbours
I like its location close to the beach , beds were great , balcony was peaceful , some night some noise from neighbouring rooms but on the whole i was satisfied with room.
