Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSeville's weather is brilliant (spring time that is) - hot but not overwhelming or excessively humid; With that said the rooms could do with a minibar or mini fridge. Nothing beats a cold beverage in your room after a stroll through the city.
Staff were excellent; Very attentive and helpful throughout. Breakfast was decent but could do with a bit more variety. Location of the Hotel was perfect, within walking distance of all the key sights in the city.

SpainThe breakfast was a little chaotic - the setup aims to be like a friend's dining room, but it is maybe a little cozy to have lots of people who don't know each other sitting so close together. The coffee comes from the hotel cafe, and whilst delicious, did take quite a long time!
A lovely, peaceful, clean hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved the little touches - a welcome sweet treat, a complimentary drink in the hotel bar and the tea & fruit which were available all day. The bed was super comfortable and the decor very calming. We had a great stay.

United KingdomOur stay at Plácido y Grata was phenomenal. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating during our stay. The style and decor of the hotel was beautiful and we really liked the atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent and they had a great selection for our group. The hotel is by far the best dog friendly hotel we’ve stayed in. A fantastic location for tourism, and although our car was too big for the on-site parking it was easy enough to drive to a larger one the hotel recommended which was €15 a night. Overall, would thoroughly recommend a stay here and we hope to be back soon

NetherlandsBreakfast is good quality but could do with more variety. Some Spanish staples (eg tortilla) were missing. It was otherwise tasty and served in a lovely setting.
Comfortable and welcoming boutique hotel close to the city centre and historical monuments. The property consists of a small number of rooms over three floors, has a lovely terrace on the rooftop. Staff is welcoming and attentive to guests needs.

ItalyThey say they have parking, but the truth is they have only two parking slots for 15/20 rooms. When you book a room if you ask for parking they tell you that you can’t reserve it and will check availability upon arrival. When you arrive 99% there is no availability and they send you to closest public parking. The locations of the parking is good, very close, but it is extremely expensive, 32€ per day, compared to 15€ per day of the hotel parking. I did not find thid fair.
The hotel is really beautiful, the hall, the common spaces, the room. Breakfast is good, not a huge variety of food but very good quality. The staff is super kind.

United KingdomWe were there in a Thursday and so this was the Jazz night at the hotel which should have been lovely. We actually sat in some empty seats outside and were very abruptly told to move and that we could be indoors only as everything outside was reserved. Which is fine. However, later on we saw others with no reservations sitting in these seats and saw thay the waitress was putting all hotel guests and tourists indoors. We also heard her asking others in Spanish of they had a reservation, and on them saying now- her seeing if she could accommodate. We had a wonderful experience with all other staff. But actually this really didn't sit well with me. Also the receptionist had asked us for dietary requirements prior to arrival. We weren't once actively asked these at breakfast and it was only when I'd seen (2 days in) if they had gluten free bread. (Through seeing via someone else having) That these accomodations were made. For the cost and atmosphere I think we've stayed at some hotels similar with much better service overall.
The accommodation is beautiful and clean and in a really good central location. Also the reception staff are great, and the cocktails absolutely delicious. But we did have a mixed experience with service considering the cost.
