Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThey need more sun beds by the pool and toilets out at the pool area.
The hotel was clean and tidy. The pool was really good and the spa was brilliant and a great value for money. The hotel is 10minutes walk from the metro and then 10minutes on the metro into the centre. The hotel is 5minute walk to the museum of sciences and the aquarium.

MaltaRooms are not perfectly clean, it doesn't seem like AC is ever turned off even when it says it is, no proper espresso (only some instant or nespresso coffee) in hotel's bar, and absolutely the worst thing of all is that beds have wheels which are not locked.
Very convenient location, spacy rooms, generally very quiet.

IrelandThe hotel was next to a busy road so the pool area was not very relaxing. No pool side bar/food. The hotel is about 30 minutes to the main old town by bus.
Very large, modern and clean rooms. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Wonderful treatments at the spa and a lovely thermal suite.

SpainSome details should be improved. AC cannot be controlled from the room, only from reception. Not comfortable !! Wifi connection needs to update every time you come to the hotel. No wifi signal at the swimming pool. Check-in at 4 pm.
Very nice and clean hotel with great facilities. Excellent location, just 10 minutes walk from the impressive Ciutat de las Arts. Many restaurants around. Outdoor pool is really appreciated in such a warm city as Valencia. Not very big but usually not overcrowded (I did not try in plain Summer) The Spa is great. It is worth paying 15 € for 90 minutes.

NetherlandsThe bathroom misses the basics of earbuds, cotton wipes and a shower cap - the provided shower gel and body lotion are okay.
Had a fab weekend in Valencia, the rooms are clean and very comfortable. Had dinner in the restaurant one night and food was delicious, The staff were very friendly and helpful. Even though it is situated in a less historic area, it is a short walk to the beach and restaurants. The hop on and hop off bus stop is directly across the road and a great way to see the city. Lovely pool and overall very nice stay

United KingdomThe window curtain in our room was just a couple of centimetres short in width so external light was present in the room all night. The bill for our stay was itemised by the day so we noticed the weekend rate was double that of other days. We felt this was a bit excessive. We would check daily rates more carefully in future.
Our room was comfortable, clean & housekeeping staff were very efficient. Our room was regularly made up by the time we returned from breakfast. The bed was comfortable. There was a good choice of options at breakfast. Although it was a buffet-style breakfast the hot food was sufficiently hot for eating. This has not always been the case at previous hotels we had stayed. The breakfast was excellent value. The hotel was very quiet inside, though as we were visiting during the Fallas period there was external noise late into the night. This can only be expected during Fallas as the firework display in the Turia starts at 1.00am.

United Kingdomthe room we had booked was boxy and soleless. we upgraded to a junior suite which was spacious and more comfortable but again soleless. the noise from the party tent ( due to Fallas festival) was right outside our window and was very loud and went in til 2 am. difficult to sleep. Air con not working, reported it 3 days in a row before fixed! ( it was 30 degrees and could not open windows due to noise) You have to pay 17 euros each to use the indoor pool! so didn’t bother.
well located for access to transport routes into city centre and near to science centre and beach area. underground parking great as we had hired a car as travelling further down the coast after our stay in the city
