Our room was Seaview terrace which is one of the more expensive rooms. For the cost it was a little tired. Couple of door handles were falling off and the paintwork could do with a refresh.

Excellant location extremely close to bars restaurants and the marina. Sea view rooms have an excellant view of the water front. Professional welcoming staff.

We had a room on the backside of the building. We only really slept there as we were in transit. However, it would have be great to have had a room on the front of the building with harbour view. Ask for it if you go.

The location on the main harbour promenade was fantastic. It is a beautiful area. The municipal underground parking garage elevator opens right in front of the entrance of the hotel, which was quite convenient - especially since it was pouring rain when we arrived. The hotel is a 10 minute easy walk to the main touristic and going out areas of Santander. There was many bars, restaurants and cafés in the neighbourhood, which was quite convenient. The breakfast area was well-attended and had a broad selection.

There seemed to be a small issue with the lift's door while I stayed there, which I was a little worried when I got in the lift.

This hotel is in a great location -right next to the port. It is close to both city centre and the beach-within walking distance. It is a lovely hotel with really nice and comfortable rooms. I particularly liked the shower. Reception staff are so friendly and helpful. Excellent buffet breakfast with a lot of choices. I would definitely stay again if I return to Santander.

The staff were extremely helpful and informative on what to see and do but it would be convenient to also have a selection of brochures and tourist material available. This may tie in indirectly with the only issue we had during our visit to Santander. We were surprised that so few restaurants had English language menus available. This was compounded by the fact that staff often had limited English and so were unable to assist with the choice of dishes.

The Vinci Puertochico is a gem of a hotel, with a lovely decor and ambiance, which operates at a very high standard. The staff are friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent, offered a wide range of choice and met all our needs and expectations. The location was central and convenient to all the sights and amenities. As keen walkers, we found it an ideal location. We also enjoyed the panoramic view of the bay from our room.

the breakfast area is small and dark, all blinds were down and only illuminated by electric light. Not very inviting at al; if I had known at the time of booking, I wouldn’t have chosen to start my day there, especially with so many other cafe places to choose from at the hotel’s doorstep.

Why we have to sign multiple forms at check-in is a mystery!

The hotel is situated overlooking the port in central Santander so ideal for exploring the city. The spacious rooms are very tastefully decorated. We had a late arrival by air so we needed a central location for a bed for the night, it was very comfortable and quiet.

Great friendly team. Amazing location. It was my birthday and they made it special for us. Quality of the room and experience for the price is incredible. Actually one of favourite hotels now for this reason and a great place to stay for a weekend exploring Santander.
