Noise in the street outside at night. There is a night club a couple of doors up the street and there was a lot of noise at 3am on both nights of our stay. I will stay at the hotel again but next time will bring earplugs!!

Exceptionally good breakfast, the best I had in any hotel. It is more like a small, very diverse buffet. Also, everyone was very welcoming and tried to help if necessary. Very nice place, excellent location.

The staff and location could not be better for a quick stay in Madrid. As it is in all of Europe the rooms are small but we only sleep there but can be noisy outside. We stay there every time we visit Madrid.

The half shower door did not stop water from getting onto the floor nightly even when we kept the shower head on a low setting and turned it inwards. And more hooks in the bathrooms to hang towels/toiletry bags would also be helpful. While there was plenty of hanging closet space, would have been more useful had there been a dresser w/drawers or more shelves in the closets.

My family of 4 got the family room with 4 twin beds. 2 of the twins were in the living room area and the other 2 were in the bedroom area (separated by a door) which worked out nicely for us. Beds were comfortable/firm enough, room was spacious albeit you had to walk through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. They provide liquid hand soap, shower soap and shampoo so bring your own conditioner. We were on the 6th floor so street noise was not a problem. Hotel was very convenient to Puerta del Sol and most key points within the main city center. Staff was friendly. Would stay here again.

1. Cleaning: Biggest issue of all. When I moved in, the shampoo and conditioner bottles were not refilled, which I discovered late one night. And while additional shampoo bottles were available at reception, for conditioner you would have to wait until the morning (ended up asking to get some in a paper cup instead). Would assume the room is either properly stocked for a new guest or additional bottles are easily available. Moreover, the next day my room was entered into and cleaned despite a “Do Not Disturb” sign, which should be unacceptable practice. 2. Bedding: Strangely at some point my blanket was not put in a blanket cover but between two separate bedsheets (!). Which is quite uncomfortable as it kept getting partially undone and tangled up. Took a video of this even. 3. Bathroom design: A final small suggestion would be to rethink tiling in the bathroom, as at first it looks like it’s mouldy even though it’s just a tile design.

1. Location: Really convenient location, close to metro and walkable distance to Atocha train station. 24-hour reception is helpful when you arrive late and leave early. 2. Facilities: Room is rather nice despite an unusual layout, the bathroom even has a bidet. Breakfast was good enough, vegetables and fruit were available, etc. 3. Staff: The reception and kitchen staff were extremely helpful, e.g. explained how to best get to different destinations for day trips and got me a nice breakfast bag as I was leaving early in the morning.

The furniture in the rooms is old-fashioned and shabby. No coffee maker. But other than that, it's an excellent choice for the price
