Amazing breakfast, impeccable cleanliness, such lovely hosts and hospitality. We were a group of friends and we had the loveliest time staying at Refugio del cares. We hiked around and then enjoyed such delicious food. Probably the best accomodation I encountered in Spain! Looking forward to come back in summer during warmer days.

There’s nothing to point out. I’ve wished to stay longer and that the weather was nice to enjoy the pool with a Mountain View.

The best place to say at Picos da Europa. It’s well located, has an amazing Mountain View and the hosts are the best you can have. They prepare the most delicious meals with local products and they have into consideration if you have any restrictions.

A lovely warm welcome together with a beautiful house and rooms made this a special stay. That's not to mention the delicious cooking for both supper and breakfast. We should have stayed much longer.

The hosts were super attentive, welcoming and caring. They've created a relaxing setting in the mountains that's perfect for a weekend or even a week long stay. They are also great cooks!

The whole place was wonderfully calming and delightfully remote. The view from our room was breathtakingly beautiful, such amazing mountains. A swim in the lovely pool was just what I needed after a long hot day up in the mountains. The facilities were excellent and the couple who run the place couldn't have been kinder or nicer. Everything you could need had been thought of and the dinner and breakfast were delicious. We slept well in the very comfortable bed.

Best breakfast we had during our trip with fresh fruit and your choice (pancakes, toast with eggs..) made by the great chef! We also enjoyed the delicious dinner in a cosy home setting and took a refreshing swim. We were lucky with the sunny weather. The room on the ground floor had everything we needed and Irene warmly welcomed us.

The property was lovely, with fabulous views. It was very clean. Dragos and Iraia were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious …freshly squeezed orange juice, wonderful choice of options to choose from .The omelette was very tasty. A real treasure of a place. Evening meals also available if you wish, these are also very good and reasonably priced. Lots of places to visit/things to do near by (you need a car)

Absolutely nothing.

The place was very calm, extremely well decorated and with beatifull views. It is very central when intending to visit multiple "Picos da Europa" places, and a perfect place to rest and relax after an extenuating walk. Breakfast is simply perfect, and the couple responsible for managing the place is very helpful and kind. Couldn't be in a better place.

Fantastic friendly.hosts who will do everything to make your stay enjoyable. Delicious breakfast incl and we also enjoyed the evening dining options very much. The swimming pool is a real bonus on hot summer days.

Our stay here was magical. De hotel itself is beautiful, well-maintained and very clean. The room was comfortabel with a stunning view. Its location is perfect. You can drive to several hikes, and you are also close to the ocean. The owners do their utmost best to create a wonderfull stay. The breakfast is healthy and delicious. You can order lunch to take with you on your hikes. And dinner is a la carte and very good, as is the wine! We stayed a week and felt totally relaxed and cared for, we highly recommend this hotel!

To say something, I would mention the access route being very steep and narrow, so you have to hope no one is coming the other direction. But it is really worth it and parking is easy.

The hosts will do everything to make your stay pleasant: there is daily room service, room is really big and comfortable, the packed lunch and dinners we had were convenient and tasty. Breakfast is plentiful with a lot of choice. Loved the songs of the birds and cows nearby.

If you are on foot, the best of what the Picos has to offer is bit far away. But by car or by bike, this won't be a problem.

Refugio del Cares is a beautiful house, very comfortable, stylishly decorated and full of character. But best of all is the friendliness of host Ireilla and fabulous cooking skills of chef Dragos.

The recently recovered hotel is lovely: all details are duly thought of and of very good taste. There are only four rooms and this helps the quietness of the place that is amazing: the hotel’s motto is “where silence is an art” and it is 100% true! The owners, Iraia and her husband, are just wonderful: caring, kind, very professional. Breakfast is amazing too with its variety of choice and quality. All is fresh and handmade. Same for the dinner: if you wish so, you can enjoy dinner on-site, and this is really recommended! Also mattress was great and enabled us to have a wonderful and fully regenerating sleep. Overall, the stay was just great and wonderful!
