The hotel title on Booking.com is misleading, the hotel and the restaurant of the same name are completely different establishments, in different buildings across the street from each other. Neither provide a breakfast service, but you can get a basic good value breakfast at Pension Cristina around the corner, which is also a good family restaurant.

Lovely property in a great location right next to the nature reserve. El Rocío is a very unusual place, make sure you know what you are letting yourself in for.

Some staff a bit grumpy, resentful seeming. No breakfast or even coffee nearby for my early start, although a more helpful receptionist suggested Bar Gunduilla (good cafe used by locals).

Awesome location and, as requested, a room overlooking the lagoon with its flamingoes and ibises. Classic Spanish hotel facilities. Reception open to leave luggage.

The bed was very uncomfortable and the hotel has only one room with a bath. It is advertised as having rooms with a bath.

No access to drinks of any kind - had to wait for Pension Cristina a few doors up to open to get a morning coffee - and breakfast. The welcome was good but after that, most staff at reception didn’t even look up or say hello as you went in and out. The bed was comfortable but pretty small - ok for us both being pretty small but if you are tall and wide a double bed might feel a squash.

From our room 209 we had a side on glimpse of the lagoon so could see some birds. In the morning it was a very short step away. At night it was great as there were also loads of bats. Nice shower.

The bed was small. If you are considering a visit as a couple, I would recommend two single beds rather than a double.

Generally an excellent hotel, although when we were there (3rd-5th January) the restaurant was closed, and most of the rest of the village was closed too. The room was smallish but super-clean, and had everything that was promised and all that we needed. The view from the room was simply stunning.

there was a bar on the corner that opened friday night which was quite loud with live music,,someone also hit and severely dented the boot of my car and the back bumber ..i dont know if this was deliberate because i was parked sticking out too much or an accident,,

It smelled a bit weird. But it was very clean. More information about facilities an breakfast options.

We've requested a room with lake view, and we got it. We had an amazing view on the lake on both balconies. The staff was friendly en spoke English. Breakfast was available nearby (not at hotel), but we know that on forehand. Room was clean and comfortable.

Visit 1st week of Jan 24. Restaurant was warm, friendly. Great service. Food delicious, reasonable and prompt. Thoroughly recommend both restaurant and the room in the hotel which was spotlessly clean, comfortable and warm.

We were most disappointed that the hotel would only offer us breakfast on two of our 8 days when they provided breakfast for a group. Not the quality of welcome we expected.
