Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe had a bit of a problem with a blocked shower, but the staff responded immediately and it was fixed very quickly. There was quite a lot of street noise in the mornings, which is worth considering if you like a lay-in, but it is a bustling city and a busy location, so to be expected.
Great location in a small square filled with orange trees in the historic centre, just next to some gardens. Rooms are unique with quirky decor and good facilities. It is also possible to use some of the facilties at the partner hotel where you will find a very helpful receptionist. You can also go to the partner hotel for a welcome drink. :-)

IrelandWe couldn't fault anything
The hotel manager couldn't do more to make us feel confortable. Very attentively and welcoming. The atmosphere and food in the restaurant were lovely. Very professional staff; very tasty food. We loved the booklet about the hotel and main attractions in Seville. Very interesting information and really well presented; well-done!

United KingdomAs it’s centrally located, there was quite a bit of noise from outside during some nights. If you’re going during the colder months and get cold easily like me, you’ll most likely find the room cold when the heating isn’t on (i.e. during the night/early morning when you wake up) but they do provide an extra blanket which helps.
Perfect location - very central with loads of food places nearby and only few minutes walk from the Alcázar and the cathedral. We arrived after midnight and the staff were great with communication and keeping in contact, they gave us the entry code and room details beforehand as well as how to get to the hotel from airport via taxi. We stayed in room 5 - room & bathroom were spacious, clean and well decorated. Bed was pretty comfortable but I personally didn’t like the pillow very much, my friend however thought the pillow was ok.

ItalyMaybe the bed could have been a bit bigger, but it was not a big deal :)
The location was PERFECT to visit the city: it's in the area of Santa Cruz, probably the best area for restaurants and bars, but also in a very quiet and silent corner of the neighborhood, so the room was very silent. Our room was great, with a balcony overlooking some orange trees, best way to wake up every day

NetherlandsThe breakfast can be bought in the main building of the hotel on a short walk. It is supposed to start at 7.45 but both days the buffet was not ready before 8:15 or even later. This led me to not being able to enjoy some of the breakfast items such as the hot items that only appeared when I was ready. This is not so nice as the breakfast is rather expensive.
Very nice location in the old city in a nice old building. Good room with water cooker. All facilities present and clean.

United KingdomEven though we’d given our arrival time there was no one to meet us. It’s self checkin but we weren’t given access codes in advance. We had to message on WhatsApp. No staff in person at all. You have to come downstairs to make a coffee which seems a little cheap given the hotel price. Overall feels a little tired
We loved the location, really beautiful. Fairly quiet for where we were.

CroatiaWe got a room that had no seperate bathroom, you could see the shower from the bed, jacuzzi that we were happy to have as an option in the main hotel didn't work, there was a big bug inside our room that got into my stuff but hotel personel solved it when we called them
Nice room, comfortable beds, ionized water that we got every day, quick service when its needed, the support of the main hotel, options to rent a bike, location was great - everything was near on a walking distance, the receptionist connected us to agencies that organized free guided tour of the city, Alcazar and cathedral, every problem was quickly solved and we enjoyed staying in Seville

GermanyEven if I sleep with earplugs, I could hear absolutely everything that happened in the building: main door opening and closing, upstairs neighbors moving a chair, going to the bathroom, guests coming in and out their rooms, everything everyone was talking....the whole night. It was the worst sleep I had during a holiday. Also, it was unclear why we had to pay such a huge warranty for our dogs in case they destroyed something, considering that the only carpet in the room was so dirty that it even smelled bad. And we even had to follow-up with the property a week later to return our warranty. It´s totally fine to pay extra for our dogs (20, 30, 50 euro per night), we have been doing this in many countries. But to ask for more than 100 euro warranty, only by card, and not returning it in the following day after check-out, does not provide a good experience.
You pay for the location. It´s right in the city center, close to every cafe, restaurant and main attractions. The room is beautiful, check-in was relatively easy and the bed and couch comfortable.
