The Canary restaurant was mostly fully booked and only opened Friday to Sunday. General appearance was old and the carpet seems to need a change.

Friendliness of staff Food available The activities available The animation team and the performances They have a “cat cafe” and clearly display how they take of the kitties in their facilities

Place needs an update.. Wine "on tap" was a little rough but drinkable. Not much else to fault.

Lovely staff throughout the hotel. Restaurant food was excellent . Lots of choice and fresh. All hotel staff were friendly and efficient. Getting sun beds was a bit of a bun fight but that is not unusual at big 3 staff all inclusives. The main building is dated and could do with an update but that will not be happening while the future of the hotel is in doubt due to the Spanish mainland government desire to have the place knocked down. Judgement was passed in March to do so but we think it will take years to enforce. 600 jobs , directly or indirectly on the line! Pity. Great value for money

The beds are really old and uncomfortable.

The food is good with many options. The location is perfect 👌 The hotel is old, but worth it for this money - clean, very kind staff, good food...

The dining room was a bit of a bun fight but it’s hard when there are so many people. The music around the pool and bars was too noisy for me. Just having it playing when the aerobics or similar was on but to have the speakers on loud most of the time, for me was too much. I would have liked more peace and quiet during the day. Rooms were dated and bath towels needed replacing.

Food excellent, especially the Mandarin/Canarian restaurant. Staff generally were happy, friendly, helpful and fun. Quite a few areas to sit. Lots of sun loungers available. The small area with a few tables by the restaurant was good as it allowed you to sit somewhere to eat that wasn’t quite as noisy and busy.

Both my mother and me got poisoned, most probably from water. As the water they serve at canteen isn't really drinkable quality for someone not used to it. So buy bottled water from the store in the hotel or just drink mochito :)

Rooms are a bit old, but doesn't cause any negative issues. Got sparkling wine bottle for my mothers birthday. Was a pleasant surprise. Prime location, at the dunes, meters from the ocean. Fair value for money, especially considering friendliness of personnel at the bar

We were in the annex. Our accommodation was a bit tired looking. We hade 2 single beds instead of a double which we booked. Rumour was that the hotel being in a natural park was under threat from the local council in that they want it to be knocked down. This meant that RIU is not spending money and so wear and tear is evident.

Staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. The bar staff were first rate. Swimming pools were very good. We have been to 3 other RIU hotels and all the items mentioned above matched them.

People reserve sun beds and keep them unused most of the day… annoying practice. One member of the animation team irritated me on this and a previous trip. More outside dining spaces would be great as it’s getting less and less every time we come. The serving spoons are touched by everyone and it allows for fast transmission of germs, I wish all guests were a bit more considered and use sanitiser prior attending the buffet always. It also would be appreciated if guests were given the choice to use their towels and beddings for as long as they want as it’s an unnecessary burden for the environment if they get changed daily, it’s not what our environment needs!

We simply love the place, it’s great for families. The location in the dunes is superb. The hotel needs modernisation, but due to being in a nature reserve, this is very difficult to have permitted. You simply cant have it all! Staff are very lovely and food has a good selection. Being able to dine in the atrium and sometimes breakfast outside…

...the downside is that the hotel is incredibly dated and the rooms need a lot more than a little TLC. I am fine with a dated look but the beds were so old and rock hard, they were not comfortable in the slightest. As I was there for 2 nights, it was no problem but i imagine it would not be something i would have been happy with for another night more. Its really frustrating as the hotel could be an absolute hit but this is a major pitfall. The only other slight irk was that the loungers on the beautiful vast beach outside were not for use of hotel guests and were an additional charge by a third party, the hotel has tried to create sandy lounger areas facing into the beach but not anything by the water.

In all honesty, I booked this very last minute for 2 nights for a weekend of winter sun. It was incredibly cheap for all incl. so my expectations were very low but I can honestly say I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff from first check were absolutely wonderful and couldnt be nicer. The food and bar offerings were extensive and great quality and the location is exceptional...

I liked the location the most. I wanted to stay in the dunes. The view of the ocean and the beach was amazing from the 6th floor of the hotel. The room was old fashioned, but very clean. The food is fresh, a decent quality, and abundant. I liked fish, tortillas, salads, bread, a variety of cheese and fruit.Kids loved ice cream and pizzas :-) the staff is very friendly.

I got the food poisoning and one day of my holiday was ruined because of that.

The location of the hotel is just perfect in the middle of the sand dunes, directly at the beautiful sandy beach, perfect for swimming and long walks. I got a beautiful view from the room at Lobos island. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Although the hotel needs some profound renovations, all the essentials are there.

The bedroom could benefit from being painted.

Great choice of food and considering the amount of people they were catering for it was quite good quality and very very little queues at the counters.
