Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThis is an awesome place to stay. Claudio is a very helpfull and attentive host. We really liked the house (loads of space and a nice view). It's very quiet and Roque Nublo / Pico de las Nieves are 15km round trips on foot.

PolandClaudio is very welcoming host that went above and beyond to make our stay pleasurable. He communicated with us very effectively and we were greeted with a nice welcome gift. House is spacious, clean and very well equipped, and due to its remote location, I was waking up to the sounds of the forest in the morning - exactly what I needed. Its proximity to nice mountain trails was very convenient too.

GermanyIt was surprisingly cold as so high in the mountains. It was also often hidden in the clouds (in October). The roads to get to the apartment take forever to drive, but also offer beautiful views.
Very large remote house. We were greeted with some treats and felt very welcome. It had a small pool outside which we unfortunately couldn’t use due to cool temperatures. In general a perfect location for us. It was situated close to a few very nice viewpoints.

RomaniaNothing to complain about. It was a bit cold and we couldn't use the pool. It may seem far from other attractions but I didn't have a problem to drive 50-60 min towards the coast.
The location is remote, in the middle of the nature. It is very quiet with a big garden where you can ocassionaly see rabbits. Claudio is very kind and he prepared us a welcoming kit which included wine and fresh natural eggs.

United KingdomSwimming pool was too cold to use, but that wasn't really a problem for us.
Fantastic location and spectacular views. The apartment has everything you need and is spacious and comfortable. Claudio was fantastic and we felt very well looked after. Why would anyone stay in the resorts when you can stay somewhere like this!

NetherlandsNothing really.
We liked everything about our stay at Claudio's place. The bunglow is probably the highest BNB you can find on the island, and is located in the center of the island. Every beach area of the island is approximately an hour away by car. The property has all you need and Claudio has paid special attention to the tiny details. He gave us some goodies on arrival like wine and plenty of fruits. The views are impeccable. You are pretty high up and can see down the valley. It's really quiet, and all you hear are birds and maybe 1-2 cars in an hour. The House itself is well equipped, with kitchen stuff, laundry possibility, fireplace, barbecue, a big TV, massive dining table (12 person), cabinets, comfortable mattress, outside sitting, recliners, and of course a private swimming pool (which is nice and warm thanks to the insulating mat). Keep in mind, the supermarket is minimum 30 mins by car. The drive itself in the area is challenging with some narrow roads and steep inclines. There are endless possibilities to hike from the area, and you can even walk to Roque Nublo from the place (approximately 2hrs 1 way) If you are looking for a happening place and surrounding, this place is not for you. Tranquility and serenity is what this place offers, away from the city life. To get there, you must drive on the dirt road for about 500m. The place is better than what the pictures tell.

GermanyThis lodge was absolutely amazing! Claudio, the owner, was exceptionally friendly. He provided us with wine and eggs from his chickens, his mom even made an omelette for us. He asked every day if we needed anything and gave good advice regarding trips and shopping and anything else. Absolutely top! The lodge itself is not easy to find - which is a great advandage! We met Claudio at a certain point and he showed us the way (along a simple wood track, not easy for smaller cars!). The lodge is positively rural and provides anything you can dream of. Even a firelplace (which we used every day). The most stunning thing is the view and the woods around it - and the silence. We needed to get off all trouble and this was the perfect spot! We went in March, so we arrived in rain and cold. Some days were sunny, some days were misty and cold. The plus side was: everything around us was green and blooming, amazing! Perfect for hikes and biking (three bikes were free to use!). The minus side was: we never used the beautiful pool because it was tool cool. Remember the lodge is at over 1600 meters! Nevertheless I caught a sunburn (even at 10° Celsius the sun burns hot enough to lie at the pool). Las Palmas is about an hour drive, Maspalomas a bit longer. The roads are difficult to drive but so beautiful you never want to stop! We spent two days just "cruising" the island, this lodge is the perfect starting point. So everyone who wants to experience more of Gran Canary than just beaches and large hotel blocks - this is your home!
