For a 5* hotel, the dining arrangements were a little strange: one needed to book for dinner. I would normally expect to opt out not in. In each of the special evenings, French and Japanese, there was one course which fell far below what was expected. The pastry chef however, was quite outstanding on all occasions dining at the hotel. The menu in Top Brasserie was too hit or miss. When hit, very good, but there should be no misses (the chicken was road kill not well presented!) One became used to the slalom run through the Paradise room to the buffet! I hope that the hotel will consider extending the TV services offered beyond world wide news and US films. Modern streaming is now with us! These are small points about a very good hotel in a very convenient and quiet location, to which we will return.

The hotel was new and the completion of the infrastructure and planting of trees, shrubs and flowers was quite exceptional. It was remarkably quiet and yet clearly allowed all the guests to enjoy themselves without any constraint. Excellent Spa and good treatment staff and facilities. The pool villas are ideal for a quiet and relaxing holiday.

The hotel shuttle could have been available more often. But taxis are easy to get and cheap. So not really an issue.

This hotel is stunning and so unique. For a hotel with 50 “rooms” ( not really rooms as they are individual villas within the hotel ) it is ridiculously quiet and tranquil. Staff are amazing and food wonderful. A genuine 5* hotel

Unfortunately the surrounding area of the hotel isn’t great, and we missed being able to take nice walks.

The design, and interior and exterior decoration of this hotel is truly inspired. Peaceful, exotic, quirky, there’s something new to catch your eye at every turn. Natural materials are used throughout in a very beautiful way.

It is a beautifully Spanish mixture of intimacy and luxury, all wrapped in a world of fab food, and served by a team of staff who are just lovely people.

We rented a river Villa. The outdoor furniture was very uncomfortable. They had a hanging swing that was mounted right next to the unit. Therefore, anytime you used it you banged into a wall. The bed had no way to lean back on anything. It needed a little headboard.

The property is gorgeous. It’s a little slice of heaven. They did a magnificent job creating a tranquil environment. The staff is well trained and extremely accommodating.

Wider choice of restaurants would have been great- but hotel is a 5 min taxi from La Caleta where there are lots of bars and restaurants. Also felt like water was a bit rationed at the hotel- would have been great to have a water cooler near the pool and more water supplied in the room. You can walk to La Caleta but first part is through semi wasteland surronding the hotel - so not suitable for anyone not comfortable to walk through this. Taxis were plentiful though and reception very helpful to call them

Excellent facilities, even though hotel was full it felt so quiet and serene. Excellent selection of pool areas and the rooms were amazing.

I cannot fault this hotel at all. I had a phenomenal winter break and hope to be returning again soon. I loved every minute of it! The hotel is absolutely immaculate. It wasn’t remotely pretentious. The food was delicious. It was absolutely 5 star!

Restaurant food choices could be improved.

Thinking about our stay at Royal River we realise that the best thing about Royal River is its STAFF. They are amazing, super helpful and very friendly. Our 2 level Villa was massive, comfortable & well designed. My partner (Alex) & I would like to thank ALL THE STAFF - particularly Diego, Yulia & especially Ruyman for all you have planned / done for us in advance & during our stay. The Private Sail Boat experience was amazing & of course you pre-arranged the gorgeous sunset that evening just for us! Special thanks to Alex & Victor for your chauffeur service. In a place where taxi service can be at times difficult one of the high points of Royal River…. - free transport around Adeje. From the restaurant staff, I would like to thank Patricia, Nancy & Manuel for your friendly & warm hospitality. Food superb & wine selection was awesome. Our entire stay from beginning to end was FABULOUS. From the above it is clear Royal River Tenerife - you are VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! 👍🏻

Nothing really, it was all great.

Fantastic hotel, we really enjoyed out stay there it was just the break we needed. The staff are wonderful, food fantastic and it was actually a great surprise. We had a couple of dinners in town, one sushi one fish restaurant. Breakfast at the hotel was great, we found out on the last day you can actually order things as well (omelettes, eggs benedict etc). A great hotel and I've recommended it to loads of people now. We'll be back next year 100%

Amazing amazing amazing, these are the words. Incredible experience, thank you. Everything is well done , new, clean, the room is very spacious with everything you need. How they played with lights is incredible, in room and also around the hotel. The atmosphere is magical. And that you can swim in a river from your pool, perfect. The personal knows how to make you feel welcomed.
