Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaThe apartment is somewhat weared compared to the pictures where looks like were after the renovation. Especially the bathroom, which is also extremely small. Also it is on the 1st floor, not a ground floor so there are stairs to go up and and there is no elevator. We were with a baby walker / stroller and was a bit pain that we had to climb it every time to the apartment.
Great location near metro, pedestrian streets and restaurants. The host is very kind and friendly.

Belgiumif you’re looking for scenic views and an instagram feel, look elsewhere. it is a bit dark inside indeed, but there are plenty of beautiful views in the city, so this is not a real minus point. Just know it’s simply a comfy starting point for daily adventures in the city! also the pans are not chef’s kiss but it works
A very functional place, excellent location, and comfortable beds. you will find all you need in the flat (towels, kitchen stuff, washing machine, parasols for the beach…). Loved the AC, perfect when you come home from a long hot day. the area is great with loads of restaurant to have a tapas.. or many! and the hill nearby has the loveliest view of the city.

Austria- The apartement is very dark. The 2 small windows look out to the wall, which is 2 meters in front of you. You really do not understand, whether it is day or evening. It is always dark inside. If you stay longer time inside - you will get depressive because of the darkness. - The Kitchen is big, but the utensils shall be partly changed to new. Especially the frying pan. Eggs frying is dufficult - all of them rolling down to one side due to the form of the pan :-) - The bed in the bedroom squeaks a lot. Do not plan a honey moon here :-) - The toilet and shower are really small. You can do everything you need, but it is really not convenient. - We had a very noisy neighbour in the ground floor during our stay. Music and partys almost every night. Simone (the owner) said it had never happened before, because of old people living in there. And we had a bad luck about the son of this people, who was in the apartement as long as the old people were abroad during our stay in Barcelona. 3 out of 5 nights we had to contact the owner of the apartement in order to calm the people downstairs after midnight. At the end, after many calls with the people, it was possible to sleep.
- The apartement is in the first floor and is very comfortable to get in. - Late arrival was very comfortable. The cleaning lady was waiting for us at 22:00 and let us in the apartement. - Also the outstanding payment was done with the cleaning lady Hellen. - Late chack out is possible - on our last day in Barcelona we left our suitcases until 17:00 in the apartement and enjoyed Barcelona the whole day. At 17:00 we left to the airport. The cleaning lady was here at that time and took the keys. - Small supermarkets next door. Water, bread, fruits, milk, cheese available. - A lot of restaurants for Tapas or Paella or Wok or anything else in 3-4 minutes to go. - Simone (the owner) is always available via WhattsApp or Phonecall and is really trying to serve you in all your issues. - Poble Sec underground station is in 7-8 minutes walk. So you can travel anywhere you want. (Tip: buy a family card for 8 Travels there. This is the cheapest possibility.) - Very good WiFi connection in the apartement. Just scan the QR code on the router and you are in. - You are in the walking reach to MontJuic, Catalan National Museum and its fountains, Placa Espanya. - If you are outside all the day in Barcelona and come to the apartement only at night to sleep - I would highly recommend it to you.
