Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomFantastic gem of a hotel. Beautiful stylish budling with furnishings to match. Only a handful of rooms so the pool, garden and terrace never felt busy. 5 minute walk into the center of Soller & its great restaurants. Sandra & Zhamek who run the place are super helpful and full of local knowledge.

United StatesParking is a mystery. We were able to park in the cemetery every day and we took our car out daily, but it was always a worrisome question of would parking be there when we returned. Can't say we weren't warned, but it's stressful and I think you need a car to see the area.
Breakfast and lounging in the garden with the view of the mountains, the historic building and rooms, the staff. Really appreciated them parking my car on arrival.

EstoniaIncredible hotel. I had 5 different hotel bookings in Mallorca, and this was my favorite by a big margin. The whole place feels like a palace (in a good, non-pompous way) and the garden with its lemon trees is beautiful.

CanadaI recently had the pleasure of staying at the, and I cannot express how wonderful my experience was. From the moment I walked through the doors, it was evident that this was not just another hotel; it was a home away from home, thanks to the incredibly helpful and welcoming owners. Upon my arrival, I was warmly greeted by the owners, who made me feel like a cherished guest from the very start. Their genuine friendliness and willingness to assist with any request or question I had set the tone for the entire stay. They went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction, and it truly made all the difference in my trip. The hotel itself was a true gem. It was impeccably maintained and exuded an inviting charm that made me instantly feel at ease. My room was not only clean and comfortable but also tastefully decorated with a blend of modern and traditional elements that gave it a unique character. The attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel's design did not go unnoticed. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's lovely terrace, where I could enjoy my morning coffee while planning our days activities. It was a peaceful oasis in the heart of the city, and I the pool was a perfect way to cool off. We loved the little bar area downstairs and helped ourselves to a few glasses of cava. The owners provided me with fantastic recommendations for places to explore and dine, ensuring that I got a taste of the city's authentic culture. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel. I can't wait to return and make more memories in this special place.

BelgiumVERY difficult to reach by car, as the streets are extremely narrow (and we had smallest car possible - Fiat 500), no parking, you have to drive to the public parking further and it is not sure that there is a free space. It was very stressful to reach the place.
Quite place, nice view from the pool, nice garden, adults only, breakfast outside, exceptional place to spend a couple of days

United KingdomOur bed was really hard which wasnt a problem as we like a firm mattress but I woke up with backache every morning. The bedside lamps were really hard to turn on and very bright. The shower attachment on the wall the knob was stuck so I couldn’t pull it down so it was very high and I'm short. Breakfast was a bit on the small side.
I liked the little touches like tea lights up the stairs at night and fresh flowers on the breakfast bar. The tea and coffee facilities the basket of shower bits in the bathroom. The garden was beautiful. The honesty bar is a good idea.
