Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nice location close to the Cathedral, restaurants and bars, all walkable. We had a room at the front of the hotel on the second floor and were delighted at the size and quietness. Nice, bright and airy.

The location of the hotel was excellent as you can walk to most places of interest and restaurants and bars. It has no through traffic so not too noisy for a city at night. It is close to a main road where taxis are available at all times too. Staff friendly and efficient.

United StatesWe were put in a wheelchair accessible room (which we didn't require), so while it was spacious, the sink was low, the shower was walk-in, which is fine, but you need to be careful with the water, and the handshower was so high, that I could barely reach it. The hot water pressure wasn't great, the cold was great, but cold! The AC/heat didn't seem to work very well.
Location was great! Exterior of the building is beautiful and our room was very nice. Only stayed one night before leaving Valencia, so didn't really get to enjoy it. I would definitely stay here again, though, just in a different room.

ItalyOur bathroom could have benefitted by a better rack arrangement for towels and surface area for resting stuff. The shower area also could have benefitted by a stronger lighting but in the end they were marginal details that did not prevent us from leaving a positive review
The room was simply immense and the location was ideal to have the good balance between being close to the old city center, Turia park, easy pick-up/drop-off point for taxis and public transport in general. I would rebook it for a short holiday again
