1) Due to the hotel being located at the main roadside, it can be noisy due to the vehicles passing by. 2) Decent breakfast.

There was no place to get a cup of coffee in the morning. The restaurant was serving a breakfast buffet and sent us down the road to find coffee. (Possibly because this was Sunday?)

Our room was at the front on very busy intersection. Windows closed … no noise but way too hot. Windows open…. Traffic sooo loud! Just need a fan to solve the problem but none to be found.

Hotel was like a museum! Lots of antique looking furniture, paintings. Very clean. Excellent position just across the road from old town.

We were on the back (quiet) side of the hotel; I would imagine the side facing the road has some traffic noise

Charming historic hotel full of antiques and art. Excellent location right in the center of things. Some dedicated guest parking along main road. We enjoyed our stay.

I would have liked breakfast to be included in the price.

Our room was bright and fresh (2 windows), bed was comfortable. The deep bathtub was a treat! Our room had a second small bed in it .. lovely for additional lounging!

TV remote controller was missing. Cafeteria was closed in the morning despite the displayed info it serves breakfast 7-10am.

Very elegant and very clean. Comfortable beds, night lamps at each bed. Short walk to all Santillana Del Mar attractions. Restaurant and cafeteria on site.

There was no lift which wasn’t a huge concern as not many storeys but difficult for those with mobility issues. That said, the receptionist was extremely helpful and offered to take our cases upstairs for us.

The hotel was extremely clean and tidy and the furnishings were excellent, so many lovely items to see. Our room was a good size with very nice bed linen. The bathroom was clean and fresh and the shower was a great size. The hotel was in a central location, easy to find and close to the centre.

Room quite basic, no air con and no coffee making facilities although it is so easy to go out for a coffee that this wasn't a problem.

Location was excellent and parking available just along from the hotel which was very convenient.

The only issue was that our room was on the corner of a busy junction and although there isn’t a huge amount of traffic, it seemed very noisy until well into the early hours of the morning. There is double glazing but as it was warm we needed the windows open as there is no AC and it did affect our sleep.

this is a really interesting hotel in a convenient location for walking the Camino del Norte.

Breakfast was very basic and the rooms were a little small.

Location was perfect and the staff were great. Old quirky hotel with a nice little restaurant downstairs. If you get parking out front it is very convenient.

It was very hot when we stayed in July and a fan in the room would have been most welcome. The windows open directly to the road and it was too noisy to leave them open all night. The breakfast choice was a bit limited (although I loved the tortilla) especially the choice of fresh fruit.

Pleasant hotel close to the centre of this attractive old town and handy for visiting the Altimira caves and the many lovely beaches nearby. Charming and helpful staff.

nothing wrong with the property, but guest in next room had tv on very loud after 1pm. Had to get Night Porter to get him to turn it down, so not a good nights sleep
