The internet was spotty one night.

First and most important, the people. Concierge Grigor was most welcoming and helpful with local sights, food, and specifics on local transportation. Concierge Antonio checked us out with smiles and easy luggage storage so we could make the best of our last few hours in Granada. And the attached but independent café had many choices of delicious breakfast and lunch - from breakfast bowls with fruit to toasts with avocado, ham, and tomato. Great friendly service and café cortado too. The room we were in had a fantastic view of an Alcazaba tower and walls and buildings of the Alhambra above the Darro River. It was well-designed for spaciousness, quiet, and harmonious furnishings.

The HVAC was noisy, the fan rattled when on the low setting. The bed was hard for side sleepers.

Large, beautiful room (superior with balcony) overlooking the stream and looking up at the Alhambra. Great cafe attached to the hotel lobby. Extraordinarily helpful and friendly staff though note that there is no staff onsite in the overnight hours. Ideal location - old town, everything is close by (be advised, this end of town is largely up and down hills wherever you go so plan accordingly). The Hotel is in the "no private car" part of town so you will either need to use a taxi or park outside and drag your luggage in from wherever you park (much like parts of the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona, except not so flat, lol). We loved it!

Really nothing - we had a queen sized bed, would have preferred a king size, but it was very comfortable.

The front desk person who checked us in was outstanding. He gave us detailed information on how to access the main sites in Granada, restaurant suggestions, and was supremely helpful.

The towel supply was sparse and kinda thin and basic. Just a slight improvement suggestion.

Location was THE BEST. We loved opening our French balcony doors and hearing the river, people, live music, etc. We walked to Alhambra and every cafe and restaurant right from there. The hotel architecture was amazing…16th century structures with completely modernized rooms. Ours was a BIG suite, worth upgrading to.

The place could be more joyful if the staff was there on a bigger coverage (always reachable and reactive but no reception at evening late for example).

This hotel is really in another league. It says it's 3 stars but it's really like 10 stars. Grigor and Antonio made our stay the ultimate experience in Granada. The Shine is location location location with the best service and personalized attention. Thank you very much and see you soon

This is a truly exceptional place - in an ideal location, right in the very centre, overlooking the Alhambra :-) The reception are is beautifully designed, but it pales in comparison to how lovely the room was: super spacious, with a great view, a huge bathroom and a king size bed. The super helpful, friendly staff made our stay even more special. 10 out of 10, without a shadow of a doubt :-)))

Unfortunately, there was construction work on the building just outside the hotel. Obviously, not the hotel’s fault. But it was a bit noisy so we didn’t have the windows open, as we would normally do. There was also wonderful aroma outside from some wild flowers or trees, that could be felt in the room if we kept the window open… so it was a shame we had to keep them closed.

Great location, beautiful hotel and the room with the view of Alhambra. Nice smell inside. Interesting decorations on the wall, the building and design felt quite authentic.

Beautiful hotel situated near to the Alhambra. Wonderful cafe and exceptional, attentive and polite staff. A real gem. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Granada.

The housekeeping didn't always refresh the towels and bath mat, nor the hand soap.

The greeting and check in by Gregory stand out for me after a very hectic trip. He was warm, patient and very informative, and that made things much easier and more enjoyable.
