Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe spa is excellent and the reason we chose the hotel but there were more children than adults when we were there. It's nice that kids can enter the spa but the hotel should really consider a "family time" and consider their adult guests more. We left our child at home for a relaxing getaway but the spa session was ruined by noisy kids who were all having a wonderful time.
The breakfast and dinner were very good.

SpainNo drinks were included at dinner, not even water so all had to be paid for. A couple of small issues with the room window frames which allowed a slight outside noise increase.
For the price of the 3* media pension we had an excellent room with large bathroom, AC, huge double bed and a 55" TV! The included breakfast and dinner was well provided and we could not complain at all at the amount and quality of the food, all served by very friendly staff. The prime reason for liking the hotel was the location, its so close to the natural park that we could make several walk direct from the front door and even walked to Cazorla town, overall very good!

United StatesThey need to improve the comfort of the beds, they are very hard. And they could also heat the hot pool in the spa more. It wasn't hot.

United StatesThe cafeteria had a really poor selection of food in my honest opinion. There wasn't much variety and it just is not an appetizing menu, personally. The hours were very limited as well- making it hard for families with young kids who wake up/go to bed early. There is nowhere nearby to get a coffee before 10:30 AM at all (besides one for your room from the breakfast buffet). I think coffee makers in the rooms would be a big perk at this hotel.
This hotel is beautiful and has spectacular views of the valley and castle. Our room was well-located and connected. Parking was easy and convenient. The breakfast buffet is worth the cost- it was delicious and varied. Despite being a larger hotel, it was quiet and we could rest easily.

Room was a good size and clean. Shower temperature and pressure fluctuated at busy times. Motorbike friendly..secure car park at rear of hotel. Fab pool with grt views of mountains.

GermanyThe lack of restaurants in Mecina-Bombaron and the limited variety when shopping in one of the only two small supermarkets in the town. Namingly fresh fruit & vegetables are a rare occation on the shelves (in all small supermercados in La Alpujarra) but Antonio helped me out here and this may be less important for short term holiday makers...
The hotel is a family business run by Antonio & Rosi his wife and they are very friendly, helpful and generous personalities. Because I stayed for two weeks it was good the apartment was fully equiped with a functioning kitchen. I liked the views from my room, the wonderful sauna & spa facilities in the basement and the quietness & authenticity of Mecina-Bombaron which is much less so touristy than other more famous towns (Capilaira, Trevelez etc) in La Alpujarra.

SpainThe pillows in the room could have been better. Also since the hotel is 30 mins walk from Cazorla, they could have a couch arranged or reliable taxi numbers. We needed to wait for a while in order to find available taxi. Other than that, everything was great.
Amazing views! La Iruela castle is a must to visit, especially, just before the sunset. Spa is a little bit outdated, but you will come out as a newborn. It has everything for you to relax. One of the best spas in Spain. Nice bar with the views and good service. Breakfast is cheap, nothing special but will get you going for the day.:) I would definitely be back.
