How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Absolutely nothing
Staff were incredibly helpful, engaging and professional. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Coffee machine with capsules was much appreciated. Easy to walk to both the Alhambra and to the Mirador, as well as many restaurants. We had a superb meal at the restaurant next door associated with Smart Suites, El Mirador del Tato. Do not try and walk from the station! It is on a steep hill with cobblestones. Taxi will cost you 6-8 euros. We loved Granada and our stay here!

Constant water leak in bathroom that was potentially slippery
Good central location for accessing most sights, although getting there was a matter of easy going down and a bit of an effort coming up

Probably just the narrow streets when driving there but there nothing they can do about that.

The road by car to the hotel was an extra experience. But the garage is perfect!
Perfect stay to visit the old town. Reception was very helpful to show the best walks to some of the highlights. Terrace of the hotel has a nice view.

Auto access is for the brave. This part of town was built centuries before the car came along. However, the parking facility provided by the host was great!
Amazing location, great staff, and loved the layout of our suite.

Many ride shares and taxis will drop you off several blocks (and feet below) the actual hotel, so we had to carry our bags about 200 ft up through cobblestone steps and streets. If you are not fit or can not do steps, this might not be the best place to stay. Some local taxis that can be contacted by the lobby will come up to the front of the hotel....many others would not. If you are hiring a cab, please make sure they will drop you off IN FRONT of the hotel.
Very nice modern two story apartment in Granada. Located in the Albacin neighborhood, we got really nice views of the city and the mountains from the hotel restaurant. There were no paper towels but a good supply of toilet paper. The bed was a nice king size bed and the balcony was just precious. Our unit was fairly quiet with two climate control units and remote controls for them. The shower unit had head, body and hand held wands. Very nice.

The apartment is in a hilly atea, so not so good if your mobility is poor, but we loved it
Fantastic apartment with really good facilities. Well located. Really enjoyed small terrace with views across the Cathedral.

The location can be a bit hard to achieve, but when you see the view from the hostel...damn, It's perfect and totally worth. Even possible to see the Sierra Nevada from there

Very difficult to find! Stated tumble dryer and available in room but was not there. Underfloor heating not working.
Very clean facilities. Great shower. Good cooking facilities. Great location with a short walk into Grenada. Easy to get a bus to the Alhambra. Very friendly staff.

Smart Suites Albaicin are located in the wonderful area of Granada, full of windy gorgeous cobble stone windy and hilly streets. Taxi’s will only drop you to the suites, not Uber ( otherwise like us you will exert a lot of cardio activity lugging your suitcases up a couple of kms of cobblestones .. ). The staff and facilities wonderful including washing machine and pod coffee machine in our suite. The suites have a terrace area which is a lovely area to sit out, weather permitting to look over Granada.
