How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Only let down was the smell from the drains in the en-suit which wasn’t nice (luckily not in the bedroom once the bathroom door was shut). The bath tub was very slippery so be careful. Might not be the perfect location for solo female travellers (unless you use a taxi/uber at night).
Very good value for money & very friendly staff. Interior of the room is a bit dated but it was clean and looked as expected from the online pictures. There were 2 single beds pushed together for the double room booking (as is common in cheaper European hotels). Bed was comfortable enough for the price but not amazing (second pillow per person would be great). All in all, clean & very comfortable cheap-ish hotel and very close to the beach (which naturally is further away from the city centre).

Nothing really, basic but clean & comfortable.
It was clean, friendly and perfect for a short city visit. Buses ran frequently to city centre but we preferred to walk. Took about 3mins each way.

the room could be renovated a bit more, although price and value in comparison to other places in Málaga is very good

The floor was not mopped and vacuumed.
I like very much a staff of the hotel and a location. It was very close to the Carfour, Metcadona and a food market Huelin. 16 minutes from the Airport.

Fairly good location - close to the sea and local shops/bars. 20 minutes walk to the city centre and the train station. Friendly and helpful staff.

The room and bathroom are rather small and old fashioned but it is sufficient for a couple of nights.

The room was quite small and smelt of cigarettes when I arrived. Because the room doors are not keycard operated the desk clerk insists you leave the key with them and there is no safe in the room. I had absolutely no reason to doubt their honesty, but…
There is secure parking, 24hr desk service, access to a small kitchenette with microwave and toaster to prepare food. It had good internet, was very clean and the staff were bilingual and friendly.

Not east to find something to eat first thing around that area at a weekend
Good location, close to all bus routes to Malaga. Clean room with comfy bed with hairdryer in the bathroom.

The single room I had was a little small and didn't have much natural light. The A/C unit was old and probably needs replacing. The hotel is situated in a small street about 3kms from the old town. Having a kettle and cups in each room would be a positive upgrade.
The best thing about this hotel was the staff, who were always very polite and helpful. Credit should also go to the housekeeping as this place is really clean.

The room was old fashioned and a little dark. The bed was comfortable but made up with only a sheet. I found a blanket in the wardrobe.
Relatively close to centre - 10-15 minute walk. Good for bus stops to and from the airport. It was quiet.

No parking and not even support with advise where we can park. The night receptionist didn't speak English.
The location is very good - close to the beach and city center, it is on small street so is quite. Rooms are clean and beds are new and comfortable.Room was soon renovated and good organized.

the bathrooms were a bit dated, but at this price, they were good enough

We don't have any complaints.
We liked our stay a lot! The conditions in the rooms were good, especially the fridge and AC. The room was cleaned every day. The hotel is located in a very good area - just 5 min. from the beach. Near the hotel are many bars and shops. What we liked a lot, was the staff of the hotel. Every person at the reception was very kind and helpful, especially José, who always answered our questions and gave us great recommendations about Malaga. We recommend this hotel :)
