How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The one-way system is challenging and seems to be undergoing some changes too. It was a relief to arrive at the hotel.
On site parking. Good-sized comfortable room. Good central location. Lovely square nearby and several places to eat locally. Recommend San Antonio restaurant.

No pet policy. We would love to return to Valdepenas as we really liked the town and stay there again. We have a little dog who has travelled everywhere and this hotel has a no pet policy.😞
Great location, nice spacious modern room with good amenities. Staff were efficient and courteous. Underground parking was easy to find and relative easy for SUVs ( unlike many car parks in old towns ).

This hotel was booked at very short notice as another hotel messed up our booking. On arrival, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the underground parking was excellent, the breakfast was extremely good, the room was clean and tidy and overall it was so good we have booked to stay here in two weeks on our way back home.

Central position in town, fabulous breakfast, lovely staff all able to speak English. Good safe parking in garage under hotel, very secure. Very comfortable accommodation. This was our 4th or 5th visit and won’t be the last.

Prefer to have bath and sink within a bathroom rather than in the bedroom.
Large, comfortable bed. Underground car parking. Not far from motorway. Good choice for breakfast. Close to town centre. Lady on reception overnight who kindly helped us with a medical problem in the middle of the night

Everything was fine. The staff were so friendly too.
The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of fresh foods. I loved all of the delicious fresh fruit and the bonus - smoked salmon and fresh rolls. It's an excellent espresso machine, too.

The hotel was near to several restaurants but as we were tired and hungry at 6.30 pm we decided to eat in the hotel bar/ cafeteria as many local restaurants did not open until 8.30. The lady behind the bar was very friendly but the menu was fairly basic.
Well located overnight accomodation easy to find en route from Bilbao to the Costa del sol. The room was comfortable and clean and for an additional 12 euros we were provided with secure underground parking. We did not use the spa facilities. All staff were friendly and the breakfast choice was excellent.

Charging points and socket at bedsides would be good. Double room only had one chair. Two chairs are really needed. Apart from that everything was very good. Staff always friendly and efficient. Location superb. Breakfast superb.

I have stayed a few times whilst in transit from Seville to Madrid/Albacete & this is perfect for a night stop , very handy for the towns restaurants + a late bar in the hotel . Good sized comfortable beds & very good shower

Easy walk to lovely main square. Safe under hotel parking. Very good breakfast including egg and bacon. Very clean and friendly staff who spoke English. Nice bar and excellent food if you didn’t want to go out. Burger excellent.

Some road noise if you like to sleep with the window open. Shower on the small side.
Comfortable centrally placed hotel. Breakfast was extremely comprehensive with a wide range of food and fresh orange juice. Good underground parking with easy access and good size bays. Overall, good value for money and we are planning to stay here again shortly.

Breakfast had a few hot items............main complaint was NO breakfast tea, only flavoured, Tila, Menta etc. Very disappointing for a 4 star hotel, and no attempt to supply any.
Suited us prfectly for a couple of night attending the Valdepenas classic bike weekend. Room was a good size, comfy bed, good shower.

Only flavoured teas for breakfast, Tila, Manzanilla etc. In a 4 star hotel. NO NORMAL T.BAGS. Cheap toilet paper.
