The bathroom was tiny and cramped, and getting into the shower was a real Houdini act for a bigger and older guest.

I liked the location to Sol Square and its subways. Originally, this trip was supposed to be for two people until he canceled, and I think the apartment might have been a bit crowded as a two person stay, although both bedrooms were large enough. I liked all the close by restaurants.

The apartment's setup was a bit strange but not really a problem to be honest. For example, 2nd toilet was accessible through the kitchen. Apartment was a bit dark and room has tiny windows. Generally, not a problem because it is used for visiting, so not really a big deal.

Easy to do business with. Location was amazing. There was a second bathroom. There was a bottle of water waiting for us (thanks!) Netflix was available

With the great location came extreme street noise. You must be willing to live with the constant roar of the crowds that pretty much drowned out everything in the front living room. We were there during Easter week vacation so the crowds might have been bigger then but it was constant and went late into the night. I would have never been able to sleep on the pull out coach in the living room. No dishwasher. The extra 1/2 bath was built for very short people or children because the front of the toilet was inches away from the wall.

Outstanding location. Half a block away from the Sol Metro and the Plaza Mayor. Two bedrooms were far enough away from the street facing living room to be quiet at night. The apartment came with one bathroom and a 1/2 bathroom. Nice size apartment that was very deep. Kitchen was all the way in the back.

Bathrooms were pretty tight to move around in. We had lovely weather and the bedrooms got stuffy and have no windows to the outside (they opened to an interior like airway but that was not an option), so though the rooms had AC/heat units they were set to heat and didn’t really circulate air much at all. Super clean and comfortable. Nice beds, nicely appointed kitchen. Would not work well for those with mobility issues (skinny bathroom with no room to move and elevator starts after flight of small dark curvy steps). Of course given location there is loud activity all night.)

Very clear steps to collect key from lockbox and use keypad for entry door.spacious, just off Plaça Del Sol so close to many things, but like staying near Times Square. Really are people out and about and loud all night, which of course we were prepared for, but just pointing out.

No dryer but got a good washing machine. I found a drying rack but couldn't figure where or how to hang things on it without touching the floor.

The AC unit in the larger room did not blow out any air. To be fair to the owners, I did not bother notifying them of this as we were rarely in the unit except at night, and I did not want anyone there in the day to fix it when we were not there. The shower could have provided some more storage to place shower products. As well as the bathroom in general. Trying to find places to put any bathroom necessitates was a balancing act between the pedestal sink, back of the toilet, and the toilet seat. Also, note that you have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the elevator. So, you have to carry your suitcases up the stairs. It wasn't a huge deal to us, but might be to others.

Location! This was located right off Puerta del Sol. Multiple metro entrances nearby. Great vibe. The bedrooms are not street facing so no noise at night. Great view from the living room balconies onto the street. I love that washcloths were provided. My son slept on the couch and said that it was comfortable. The half bath was convenient too, but the clearance between the toilet and the wall might not work for taller people.

We liked everything. It is comfortably furnished. Even though it is located on a busy pedestrian street, the bedrooms are very quiet and the beds were comfortable. There is a Metro station less than 5 minutes walk. There are many restaurants and shopping nearby.

Bedroom on the smaller side for doubles but not game-changing. The shower was a little temperamental but we managed and didn't spoil our stay

From the moment we arrived the stay at Carretas was superb. Even the slightly small bedrooms and temperamental shower did not spoil the stay. The Apartment was spotlessly clean and instructions were crystal clear. From start to finish a thoroughly enjoyable break. The location was near perfect too, just a small walk to the nearest Metro and the middle of Madrid was a bonus. Cannot fault this apartment.

Very central location meters away from Puerta del Sol. Also very near the Sol Metro station. Clean and huge apartment. Good amenities including a washer which we were able to use. Lively street below but the apartment is still very quiet.

The layout of the whole apartment is weird - long hall from kitchen to living room, narrow bathroom (the shower tap can’t be adjusted smoothly at all, it takes huge effort to move the handle). Also dislike the steps before the lift. Totally not friendly to whoever carries luggages

There is a flight of stair before you can access the elevator. So carrying bug luggage may be cumbersome
