Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomTerrible dinner - do not recommend half board. Food was not good & we were hurried throughout - not a great experience. It’s a shame they haven’t put a bar in by reception as lovely views from there.
Lovely room with private courtyard. Beautiful gardens - well planted. Lovely sandy beach a short 5 minute walk away.

United KingdomNot a lot of shops or restaurants to choose from and quite a distance away from any amenities. This could be classed as a negative but I could also say quite a positive as this was a very restful break for the aforementioned reason

NetherlandsYou definitively need a car on the island. Sure there are things in walking distance like the beaches but for anything else a car is recommended especially when its hot.
Fantastic quirky design. Gardens well kept. Very large place. Various pools including heated indoor. Spa good, breakfast amazing choice. Best room / apartment we had in years. Top quality beds with seperate second bedroom with own facilities that the kids loved. Their own hideway connected to the main rooms through our very private garden.

United KingdomNo bar open on the resort. Ants in our room, reported to reception and nobody came for 2 days. Then sprayed in wardrobe to kill ants and didn’t even hoover or sweep them up! We paid £1700 plus for 1 week just for the accommodation with half board. Once you had eaten in the evening, everything just shut. Also they charge for absolutely everything. No free coffee or water in room in fact they charge 6 euros for the coffee. You don’t even get a complementary drink with your meal, not even a water !!!
If you like quiet then this is definitely quiet. Not even a bar open during the day or in the evening Food was acceptable standard, but you are sort of stuck on the resort as nowhere really nearby to walk to. Not much about at all. Restaurant staff were very good. Room was nice and big but needs TLC.

ItalyI would consider setting out a few more insect traps, we had a few uninvited "guests" in our suite a couple of times. Nothing too bothersome tho
The suites were exceptionally cozy and very intimate! I loved that whatever we were doing it always felt like we were home. Coming back to the hotel after a long day was always a pleasure. The food was pretty tasty too. A huge variety both for breakfast and dinner. The buffet nights were super fun and the menu nights served outstanding meals. Compliments to the chefs and the staff. The staff was superb and very friendly, always at your service for anything.

United KingdomThe set times for dinner ; we would have preferred to eat between the two set times. Also the wine was rather expensive. It would have been a nice touch to have had occasional entertainment at meal times.

United KingdomIt's starting to look a bit worn now, chipped doors etc.. The bar has been moved to the restaurant meant that no-one congregated in the upstairs lounge. Payment was demanded at check in. This implied to me that things were not up to scratch and they wanted to make sure people paid before they could complain.
The grounds are beautiful, the food is very good and the restaurant staff are brilliant.

PolandCould be a bit closer to the beach or a shop but still both within a walking distance.
Very friendly & helpful staff. Great large suites, with own patio, private solarium, jacuzzi, wardrobe. I recommend halfboard - wonderful, diversified food, buffet and a la carte on alternate days. Very good place to go with a dog. Also, I was there in July and there were very few people at the swimming pools, so it was nice, quiet and relaxing.

Unique hotel like tele tubbie pods. big room, big bathroom and a small lounge with coffee tea making facilities. staff excellent, food great breakfast, dinner spanish style but i found it good for hotel food. the location quiet, and guests were mainly english and german and very nice.
