Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomMy main criticism is that the main restaurant is closed Sunday - Tuesday, I wish I had known this beforehand. Also both restaurants have limited capacity, so booking is essential - this can be a problem if you need to eat at a specific time for young children for example. Ideally we would have preferred to eat at La Torre every evening and a time most convenient for us. Luckily, the staff were accommodating in allowing us to take our table earlier than our booking time. Secondarily, the mini-mart and the spa are both closed on Monday and Tuesday, I wish this information had been more readily available. Also on booking.com the room was advertised as having a sofa bed but this was not the case.
Beautiful looking villas surrounded by luscious and meticulously kept tropical landscaping. The hotel is spread over quite a large area with a lot of hills, but the staff will happily chauffeur you to your room in a buggy as often as you like. This is a pro for me but maybe a con for others - the hotel is very quiet, relaxing and tranquil, even moreso in the evenings. Do not go there to expect to party/socialise but to enjoy peace and relaxation. We booked a standard room and this was the largest standard hotel room I have ever stayed in. It had 2 floors, 2 showers, a bath, 2 toilets and a kitchen. Terrace accessible from downstairs is the same size as most modern hotel rooms and featured a sofa, coffee table, dining table and two loungers. All with stunning views of the mountains and sea. Upstairs also also had a balcony. The room was spotless and cleaned to a high standard. WiFi in the room was great, and generally good across the whole hotel complex. In short, the rooms are amazing. The hotel has 3 pools on 3 different levels in the centre of the hotel. There was no problem in getting a lounger directly at the pool at any time of the day. Pool and it's surroundings were very clean and the loungers very comfortable. Parasols available for every 2 beds. Pools get sunshine throughout the day without almost no shade. Overall, pool. experience was excellent. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Food was good to great at the 2 restaurants, we never had a single bad experience dining. Perhaps the best thing about the stay was the staff. Every single member of staff is courteous, obliging and friendly. They work exceptionally hard to make you feel that you are well cared for in their hands. I would especially like to thank Anastasias at reception; Fernando and Hugo our bellmen; and Juan, Giselle and Diego at La Torre who delivered a custom birthday cake to my son which made the evening very special.

United KingdomFood options are not great, and very overpriced. The Oasis restaurant is a really nice setting with good service, so it is a shame that the food quality is very very low, especially for the price. The local town has some very good options for restaurants and is easy to park - so it is better to eat out. This is a shame for the hotel S it would be nice to have some better options to stay in too.
Very spacious and comfortable. Staff were great. Pool is really nice and was warmed up really well for the kids. Kids club is amazing. Really well done with great activities. Breakfast is good.

United StatesI wish at least one of the pools was heated. It was too cold for me to enjoy but there were some other brave souls who did.
The property was beautiful with lush greenery and beautiful flowers. It had a ping pong table that kept my teens busy for hours. The half board was perfect for us with the option to take lunch instead of dinner so we could try the local restaurants. The staff was aware of my son’s food allergy and took great care of him, always making sure he knew what he could eat. The hotel is a bit out of the way but we loved that. The tourist area is packed with hotels, restaurants and shops. This area was not. We enjoyed it so much we plan to return again this year!

United KingdomThe Blue Oasis pool restaurant. I have no idea why it gets good reviews. Food was awful (the curly fries were nice), some of the staff really grumpy (except the young ones - they were sweet). It’s London prices for steak without any of the quality. Sirloin is on the menu but it’s clearly rump. We ordered room service one night as our son wasn’t well and we’re so disappointed that the food has to come from there instead of the main restaurant.
It is absolutely beautiful. Everything is pleasing to the eye and is so clean. It wasn’t crowded even though it was full so it was easy to enjoy every part of it. None of this fighting for loungers round the pool - we got one even though we never went to the pool until around 1pm. Breakfast is fabulous. I can’t think of anything they didn’t have. Get there either before 8.30 or after 9.30 to avoid the more crowded/noisy breakfast experience. Although we went in February half term so this may not be applicable in term time. About the walk from town back to the resort…I totally get that a hill is difficult for people who are older or have mobility issues so I’m not including these people in my next comment. No wonder we have an obesity crisis - yes there’s a hill going up to the resort. My heart rate rose when I walked up it. It is not strenuous, it’s a hill and it felt great to walk up after dinner. Most people should be able to walk up this hill and not be affected by it. The huge benefit is that you’re in a quiet resort with wonderfully views

United KingdomThere's no washing machine on site. While the hotel offers laundry, it isn't cheap.
The villas are spacious and very comfortable. Plenty of room for a family of four to feel at home and be comfortable. The balconies all had a great view, with plenty of space to play. The facilities for kids are very good: the kids club is excellent - my two children loved playing there (kudos to Bea for running it well), while the playground had enough to keep the kids busy for an hour or two. The pools were warm and offered plenty of space to enjoy a refreshing swim. Playa del Duque is a short distance away, to which the hotel provides a free return shuttle twice a day. All in all, a brilliant option for a semi-self-catered family holiday. Oh, and the warm weather in January is likely to make your stay even more enjoyable.

United KingdomA small quibble: the standard lager offering on tap is very strong (5.7%). Especially at poolside a moderate strength beer would be the usual offering,
Very clean, plenty of space, no sunlounger wars, well looked after. Hotel and staff made a huge effort on New Year’s Eve. Breakfast buffet the finest we’ve ever seen.

United KingdomA few more other facilities for older children would have been good, there are a couple of pool tables but very busy in the evening. A lot of people reserving loungers by the pool despite signs saying not to but little evidence of anyone doing anything about it.

SwitzerlandIf I have to pick something, the only thing that we personally were missing was a bigger menu and the restaurants. Said that, we didn’t go out for lunch or dinner in the village near by because we were travelling with a 3 mo baby. Therefore we just eat at the hotel the whole week.
Well located. The villas are spacious, clean and comfortable. Inside the villa there is everything you need. The stuff is extremely friendly and competent. The pools and garden are big, clean and very nice.

The service and facilities were excellent. Perfect for families. The villa gives you the space you need but you have the facilities of a 5* hotel. The staff are all superb, nothing is too much trouble. Surrounding area is also very nice with great restaurants in La caleta We travelled with our two children, ages 3 years and 7 months, and the staff made that as easy as possible.

United KingdomToo far from Costa Adeje, uphill climb on return. Mosquitoes. Food sounded good in menu but most dishes quite dry, fish overcooked. Not enough choices included in half board menu. Kids club was good but tended to be crafty, more active activities would be welcome. Didn’t like kid’s bed downstairs on her own. Husband had to sleep on sofa bed (not 5 star comfort).
Very spacious villas, lovely pools, enough sun beds and parasols, shuttle bus. Nice breeze most days.
