It was not a problem for me but guests should be aware that this is a social hostel, so it will be noisy at night (at least until everyone leaves for the bar/club/etc., around 23.30 when I stayed) My room was on the first floor so there was also sometimes some noise in the mornings when people started to come down for breakfast, to check out, etc.

The staff was extremely friendly and organized thoughtful events for everyone staying at the hostel, for example they provided dinner the first night of my stay which was delicious and a great opportunity to meet other guests. The coffee and churros in the morning were fantastic! The facilities were clean and excellent as described, the luggage storage was also very convenient. And the location was great, close to Plaza Mayor and several metro stations which made it very easy to get around the city center. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a social place to stay in Madrid!!

Onefam is a great place to stay if you are looking to have a comfortable stay in a great location. I joined the dinner and evening events which was a great addition that sets Onefam apart from other hostels. The staff was super nice and welcoming, and made you feel right at home. Full kitchen, laundry, and great recommendations. Highly recommend!

Their prices skyrocket on weekends, when I was there it was threefold the weekday rate.

The rooms on the top floor overlooking the internal yard are much quieter than the rooms on the street side. After 23.30 it was always very quiet, I'm a light sleeper and slept really well. There is an A/C with a remote in every room. Bring your own towel and padlock. Free dinners are every other day, however they are more like a snack. The location is ideal. Lots of activities.

The staff is amazing, Angel cares about your holiday more than yourself once you arrive he will welcome you and will start make a great presentation about Madrid and he will save your name and starting ask if you need anything else or if you need any recommendations, Teresa the same she helped me a lot to get the direction to the train station and send me a WhatsApp message to make sure that if i catch the train, really nice people i felt like I’m with my family, the location is great in the heart of the city center, clean and comfortable, colorful and full of life. They have loads of bakeries in the morning and tea and coffee all the day, they provide a tour guide for free every day, and tapas at the night ♥️ Lovely hostel 🙏🏻 I will visit Madrid again specially for them.

If you’re traveling solo, look no further and stay at Sungate. Not only is the location perfect, at the heart of Madrid, close to all main attractions, but the vibe and the people are amazing. Most of the people are traveling solo, so you get to connect with many people from all over the world. The people working there are also just the best, ensuring you have the best stay, with recommendations and events happening everyday at the hostel. Carolina at the front desk is the best, with such a great spirit, making everyone feel comfortable and excited. The free breakfast and dinners at the hostel are also great giving people another opportunity to connect with the guests. The amenities are also very clean. Hope to see you all again soon!

The only thing that sometimes surprises me is the fluctuating prices, for example when I checked in the price for three night was around 25 Euro and when I checked the next day it was 40 Euro?

Every time I go to a different hostel, I only realize how good is this place, staff are very friendly and helpful, I like they give attention to every guest.

Everything was perfect. The staff is amazing, the rooms are great and comfortable, plenty of showers and bathrooms. Free breakfast and dinner every night was unexpected but soooo amazing. You can go party every night with the people from the hostel if you want, they are always up to something and have the best deals. Amazing place.

My third time staying here and absolutely everything in this hostel is 10/10. The staff are always amazing and will help you with anything you need while making you feel like family. Gabo and Agustin were amazing as usual and the other volunteers were a perfect addition. Big shout out to Will for keeping the party going and everyone else for making my little holiday the best despite the rainy weather. I can't wait to go back again.
