How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

People around were a bit noisy. Luckily at sleep time they were better.
Being walking distance to where I had to attend training. The staff at the reception was extra friendly and helpful.

The aircon was switched on in my room and it was red hot, although only 20c outside. They don’t switch on until May

It was excellent. Stuff was very kind and friendly from the beginning.They allowed me to left my luggage at the reception before check in and after check out. There is quite early check in, and late check out, what is very comfortable. Rooms are clean and cleaned every day. Breakfasts quite ok, fresh and tasty, but everyday the same. Location is excellent. It is quite calm district, but you can find many nice restaurants nerby. It is close to two metro stations. And the best thing, it has 24/7 Carrefour on the next street.

The only thing I didn't like was they were doing lots of work in the room next door to our room and started working at 7am in the morning, drilling, banging on the wall where the headboard of the bed was. This was the only negative.
We loved how central the hotel was to everything. 15 minutes in a taxi from the airport, airport taxis €33 but if you get an uber it is cheaper. We walked everywhere. The open top bus tour was great for seeing everything. Stadium tour was good but definitely seen more in other stadium tours we have done. Hotel was really clean, comfortable and the cleaners freshened your room everyday. Lots of lovely restaurants and coffee shops. Shopping centre/Aldi and supermarkets all walking distance. It was great we highly recommend. We used Google maps together everywhere.

A little noise from across the road but nothing serious
Staff were excellent, friendly helpful and went the extra mile. Waitress at breakfast was especially nice and friendly

The only downside was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. I could clearly hear the television late one night from an adjoining room and the person speaking loudly on her phone the next night from a different room.
Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Price was good for what/where it was.

Our room was very small. 2/10 Our neighbors were loud 3/10 And the view wasn't to great. 3/10
The breakfast was 8/10 I can say was quality. The waiter gentleman deserve some payraise! Service 10/10. Receptionists 9/10 Kind,professional,quick service. Always smile and helpful. Cleaners doing a great job too. 9/10 Payraise too for them as well ;) Clean nice and tidy room.

The beds were creaky. Also, parking in Madrid is not as reasonable as it could be, at €25 per day.
The room was comfortable and the hotel's location was excellent, with convenient parking. The breakfast staff were happy to accommodate dietary needs.

Sometimes breakfast started later than 7 am but overall it was good. It had thin pillows, preferred thicker pillows.

No sleepers, or toiletry products. Otherwise I would have given excellent.
Clean with good location, very close to the Bernabéu stadium. I enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

Situated off the main roads and 5-10 mins from shopping makes this an ideal location. Nice size room, comfortable bed. Breakfast was very nice and well presented. All staff were very helpful and polite.

Basic toiletries in room.
Great breakfast with plenty of fresh choices. Free coffee, tea and water in room. Staff extremely polite and friendly.
